  1. Picks this week need to be in by Thursday @ 7:30PM. Standings below:
  2. People will be able to vote for more than one with how this was setup. Switched it to one selection unless you really wanted people to be able to vote for more than one.
  3. Pulp fiction because the closing scene is actually continuing the opening scene.
  4. Fingers crossed this may now be resolved. In terms of cpu and disk usage, everything has been back to normal levels for the last 6 or 7 hours. If this lasts through the day, I'd say we are good.
  5. Edmonton can't fire Jones without being severely hampered due to the Operations cap. This is probably the only change they can make so they have the appearance of doing something for the fans and attendance. If this is the reason for this, very unfortunate for Cui who gets handcuffed with a coach and GM he didn't hire and couldn't fire. Not sure the operations cap is the best thing for the league. Have to think that without it, Jones would have been fired long ago. Imagine if we couldn't fire Joe Mack and Tim Burke because we didn't want to be hampered by the operations cap for the next couple of seasons.
  6. Yeah, feel like I need to invest in one of these to keep rebooting the site

  8. It's not fixed. It will slow down again. Should get more technical help tomorrow. Have shut off everything and really narrowed this down to the forum software itself. Will see what their support says on Monday.
  9. I've been trying to dig into it off and on today. Which has meant many restarts, which only fixes the problem temporarily.
  10. I haven't actually done anything to fix it. I've been keeping on eye on some monitoring of the server, there was an intermittent database process that was pinning CPU usage (and spiking disk access) to above 100% when we typically average below 50%. That was what was causing the slowdowns or freezes. I would reset the virtual environment when I noticed the site was unresponsive and it would fix it temporarily. I haven't had time to dig further into which query was actually causing it. That would have been my next step to address it, but today we look to be back at typical CPU usage. So, all the better for me, if this just fixed itself. I still need to do some digging just to make sure someone hasn't hacked the server and is mining bitcoin or something
  11. You may have noticed that the site has been somewhat slow today. Trying to diagnose what is causing it, but probably won't be able to dig in deeply until later today. May notice some intermittent up and down time while I try to figure out what is causing it

  14. How can Jones still have a job after this week. They are officially the worst team in pro sports history. https://3downnation.com/2023/07/14/edmonton-elks-tie-1953-st-louis-browns-all-time-pro-sports-record-with-20th-consecutive-home-loss/
  15. It will be on every other team. How many times in the CFL have other teams had to chip in to bail out a franchise.
  16. Picks this week need to be in by Thursday @ 7:30PM I will be away for a week so the final game from last week won't be reflected in the standings until I get back. Standings below:

  18. Hand hit the QBs head. Didn't get a good look to see if the QB was ducking when it happened.
  19. I mean the whole other traffic light beside it that didn't melt. Upon further digging... https://factly.in/old-photo-from-italys-milan-city-shared-as-the-picture-of-a-melted-traffic-light-in-lucknow/
  20. If they were using crappy plastic, wouldn't it melt both?
  21. Do you really think a heatwave would melt a street light?
