I watched every game for one RSEQ team for the last 4 years, and am in no way an actual football scout, but here's my take on some of the RSEQ players:
Ben Labrosse and Kevin Mital - they are two of the three best football players I've seen in the RSEQ. The other was Josh Archibald, now on the BC Lions. Labrosse and Mital will definitely make CFL rosters this season. Both should be impact players in the CFL.
Nathaniel Dumolin-Duguay - He's at least a backup guard in the CFL now, starter down the road. Laval OL are really well prepared to play at the next level, providing they have the size, athleticism, which he does.
Dawson Pierre - Hodge has him going in the 4th round. If a team gets him in the 4th round they've scored. I'd be shocked if he doesn't have a decent CFL career. Special team player at a minimum. Every game I watched he made an impact. Totally disruptive force on D. Draft writers talk about him playing in the box in the CFL. I think he could stick with safety, be a Taylor Loffler type. I'm a big fan of his. 
Frédérik Antoine - Depending on the team, I think he could make a roster next season. Laval's offense was so good he probably didn't stand out as much as he could have on another team. Fast, smooth, good hands. Had a good combine.

I know absolutely nothing about any of these prospects, but I promise to get upset when Walters doesn't pick the one guy everyone says we want!

Mital and Labrosse, moreso than most, will just depend on having a team fall in love with them. I wouldn’t be surprised if they both went before we picked in the first and I wouldn’t be surprised if one was available at our second pick. Very intriguing guys, I’d be happy if we took either

Not sure I get the vitriol towards 3downnation and John Hodge. We all love the CFL. TSN and Sportsnet barely cover any off season news. Even in season, while broadcasting games, TSN is pretty light on content other than game summary articles. 3downnation has been around since 2015 and overall does a better job than anywhere else with CFL news. cfl.ca is good, and Ed Tait writes some really interesting content on bluebombers.com. But 3downnation is really my first stop to get any CFL content that I'm interested in - signings, draft profiles, USports stuff, CFL players in the NFL ... I like what they do. For me it's not so much the accuracy but the logic behind the picks. 
For example, you can't convince me that the Bombers will go with 2 FB's in their 1st 3 picks of a fairly deep draft because of a "glaring need" at that position (according to Hodge).  That's where he (and their site in general) falls way short.  When you look at how the Bombers use a FB, what makes that a glaring need?  Mike Miller, over the course of 4 seasons with us had 8 catches (10 targets), and 3 carries.   Is that the kind of production you'd want to use a higher draft pick to replace?  I get there's more to the FB role than the odd carry or catch but that's easily replaceable without using draft capitol.

Agreed. I love the idea of a FB - old school, neck roll John Riggins type - but in reality, who uses a FB? NFL or CFL? Your best bang for buck in CFL drafting is OL, DL, WR, DB. LB's for some special teams. FB?

I'm going to be very disappointed if we use our 2nd pick on a FB.

The idea of BOLO (big, US college credentials) was much greater than the reality - 25 receptions in two seasons. I watched Jeremy Murphy a lot in RSEQ as my son plays there, and he is definitely a CFL rotational receiver. I predict he will put up better numbers, run better routes, and make tougher catches than BOLO. Not saying he'll be a star, but Murphy will be better than BOLO.

The biggest difference will be the change in direction under Miller. I think that Boudreau kinda lost the handle on it last year. Also hoping that we change punters, I think our cover teams were a little out of synch with our punters different style.
I agree that BOLO's worth may have been a little inflated to many of us, as backup players tend to be in every fan base, but he did show some promise with not many reps.  I hope you are right about Murphy.

I wasn’t really talking about BOLO as a receiver. I was talking about his ST abilities, which were significantly different than the areas Murphy is going to be able to contribute.

I would imagine you can find a dozen American running backs who can do what Oliveira did in our system (hell we had a  American we cut who looked good in preseason) . Love that he's local, love that he's a Canadian, he was absolutely the teams MOP last year... but RB is the most easily replaced position in football IMO.
