  4. Huge Bomber fan. It was well before she started her band. She wrote “we are the champions” after the Blue won the Cup in ‘84!

    Kicking Discussion

No way the commish allows anyone to sign Mr Perfect. A QB who can throw the deep ball to himself? No way! A kicker that never misses? Nope! Too much imbalance. It would be a live action Bo Jackson in Tecmo Bowl.

    Covid-19

Now here is a critically thought out post where it shows how we can cohabitate with one another even if we see the world differently. But what happens more times than not is someone comes in hot on this (usually behind a key board), throws judgement on it (often with caps and exclamation points) and demonstrates to the virtual world how well they are able to reflect and look inwards.

    Covid-19

The families and loved ones of the 6.5 million people who have died of COVID probably beg to differ - as well as the rest of the thinking people who never ever said it was the end of the world.

  12. They essentially both were. I’m excited to see both. Especially Hassell, he seems to have a lot of heart. Plus the part of me who wants chaos would love to see Fajardo get picked off by a guy with 7 fingers.

    Queen Elizabeth Has Died

Time for Canada to move away from the monarchs on our currency IMO. If we have to change them all anyway, think we should move to something more representative of Canada.

  16. Must say, credit to the back-up players for being able to step in, and our scouting staff for unearthing all these gems and giving us such depth, but also credit to our system (lots of rotation already, especially our front 7 on defence) and the coaching that creates such a seamless transition from one player to the next. Such a treat to see this organization being run so well top to bottom, and being humble about it too. No boasting, no arrogance, just going about their business, 1-0 every week, not too high after a win, not too low after a loss.

  17. With our record being what it is, there's really no rush bringing people back early. If they're not 100% yet, let them heal up and be ready for later in the season. We'll be fine in the mean time.

    Queen Elizabeth Has Died

The Queen waved at me once. early eighties I think. I was crossing Portage, standing on Meridian. cold day, nobody around. RCMP motorcycles in formation went by. then A Bentley. Queen at the window, looking out, with hand held in wave position. since I was the only person there, she was waving at me!

    Covid-19

Me choosing to wear a mask doesn't stop me from moving forward in life. There seem to be people around who think that wearing a mask (forced or by their own choice) is living in fear or virtue signaling and that's just BS. It is being cautious, and in the case where a person has a cough, sore throat, consistent sneezing, then wearing a mask is a courtesy that they are doing for others. Whether it's Covid or not, masking in public when you have symptoms of anything is something that we should have always been doing as far as I'm concerned. I don't like getting sick with anything, so knowing what I know now, I will do what I can (within reason) to help reduce the risk of that happening. Right now, that's wearing a mask in indoor public places as much as possible. I wear a mask when I'm at my office even though it's not mandatory and I'm the only one wearing it, with the exception of the 1 or 2 people who have worn them when they have had a sore throat or cough (non-Covid). I take it off to eat lunch at my desk and put it back on when I'm done... in doing so, I'm reducing my possible exposure to whatever may be floating around the air. Is it 100%, no, but it's something that gives me a bit of peace of mind.

  20. Week 14 update: Bombers have clinched a crossover playoff spot. Would clinch 3rd in the West with a win over Saskatchewan this weekend. Any combination of Bomber wins and Calgary losses totalling 3 clinches a home playoff game for Winnipeg. No other club can mathematically clinch this weekend.

  22. "revision of our history" ...like when a person of colour contributed to NA society and it was either never spoken of or the credit was given to someone else (who was conveniently usually a person of european decent)? Like that kind of revisioned history? Is that what you mean?

  26. Correct me if I'm wrong. But is www.morningbigblue.com now a place where funerals are held? Or is it on the internet and a place were opinions are purposefully meant to be shared? I personally don't understand the love of the royal family. Especially historically speaking...like...they ****** up a lot of ****.

  29. Going out, establishing the run (and sticking to it) is the only way they realistically pull out a win. They are not going to win on the strength of Fajardo's arm.

  33. Roster lists Cooper as a DB, Derek Taylor says he’s a DE and to me, it’s pretty obvious he’s a candidate to play WIL for us at 6’3” / 225 with OLB experience in college but I guess they like him at DE too since Hansen is hurt and Wilcots appears to be coming off. It looks like the transaction report lists them putting Hassell and Cooper on the active roster … Thompson coming off tells me that’s a Canadian going on elsewhere which I’m hoping is Couture. Wondering where Hassell goes unless they REALLY like him enough to play him at safety. Very curious to see the depth chart tomorrow now.
