  6. Same concept applies to the defence. If the rush end jumps, attempts to reset but is still offside at the snap, the flag is thrown but the play more often than not continues. Meanwhile if he jumps and he's butchered it so bad he just keeps going to the QB, the play is blown dead with the penalty assessed at that time.

  7. O’Leary-Orange is a National so it’s a straight swap. Don’t need another National starter elsewhere.

  8. Usually at the officials discretion I do believe. If you're 5 yards down the field and the centre still has the ball, they'll likely blow the play dead. If it's a couple steps, they'll play on.

  10. Only one I noticed was Demski Seeing as Thompson has seems to fix the first game issues we technically could designate 2 national starters on defence....5 on offence so Demski spot could be taken up by an import....be interesting what say Harrison could do...bigger bodied guy who can stretch a defense...that being said I think O'Leary Orange could do the same...dude also has nice hands and could create mismatches...I liked that draft pick moment we took him as I had heard great things about him prior to the draft...he had NFL interest until injuries messed up his last few yrs

  15. Yep i was one of those, was not sure if he could make the jump to HC and he had to change the culture of losing. Thankfully he proved me wrong. The whole organization had the patience to turn it around.😊😊 Getting Collaros was the key,who would of thought that at the time?😊

I hope he is for the league's sake; but damn, wish we could find the young phenom one day.

  19. No worries. Am I correct that we were starting 8 Canadians anyway so we had one to spare? 3 on the interior o-line, Demski, Woli, and the RB spot (or the FB spot if we go only 4 receivers), and on defence the safety and one of the nose tackle spots?

GOP congressional nominee suggests rape rarely leads to pregnancy: 'Maybe because there’s so much going on in the body' Yesli Vega, the Republican Party’s nominee for a U.S. Congress seat in Virginia says she believes rape rarely leads to pregnancy, “maybe because there’s so much going on in the body.” Her remarks were recorded last month before the U.S. Supreme Court on Friday took away the constitutional right to abortion. Axios broke the story Monday. “The left will say, ‘Well what about in cases of rape or incest?'” Vega said at an event (audio below) in Stafford County, Virginia. “I’m a law enforcement officer. I became a police officer in 2011. I’ve worked one case where as a result of a rape, the young woman became pregnant.” In the audio, Vega is asked: “I’ve actually heard that it’s harder for a woman to get pregnant if she’s been raped. Have you heard that?” She replies: “Well, maybe because there’s so much going on in the body. I don’t know. I haven’t, you know, seen any studies. But if I’m processing what you’re saying, it wouldn’t surprise me. Because it’s not something that’s happening organically. You’re forcing it. The individual, the male, is doing it as quickly — it’s not like, you know — and so I can see why there is truth to that. It’s unfortunate.” Vega, who is now being compared to the late GOP Senator Todd Akin, also brought up what she sees as her “number one” obligation as a person of faith, calling abortion a deviation. “It’s my, number one, as a believer, to give you all of the resources available. If you decide to deviate and do something else, we don’t stop loving you.” “Because of the data that we have it’s been proven that women who do move forward with an abortion, they suffer so much.” In a social media post celebrating the Supreme Court striking down Roe v. Wade Vega claimed abortion has been legal “up to and even after the point of birth.” https://www.alternet.org/2022/06/yesli-vega/

I remember thinking like this too when I was in my early twenties. Then I realized you can not function in this society, be a decent human and NOT be a hypocrite. It's literally impossible. Every single one of us is a hypocrite. Unless like I said, you are not a decent human who has even a shred of empathy. So yes, congratulations on figuring out that someone is a hypocrite, but please remember the old saying about pointing fingers. Because unless you're a giant POS (which I don't think you are) you are in the same boat, the fact that you're using an electronic device proves it. So maybe take it easy...

  28. We've been spoiled the past few years. Heck since that 1-4 start in 2016, we're something like 57-27 with 2 cups wins and three western finals. Given how brutal 2012-2015was, its remarkable.

  31. Yeah...I agree on that....but I think we are veteran enough and talented deep enough not to look like the Riders and use that excuse...and they make that more than it is...a trip to edm from sask is hardly a chore...same time zone and what...an hour flight at most...now going from Winnipeg to t.o...then back home then going back across the country the other direction 2 times zones away is a diff story...and bet we won't look like hot garbage

  34. this always happens with games in Toronto.....****** up scheduling. Likely something to do with avoiding the Jays or Toronto FC or something ridiculous like that.
    1 point
  35. I’m sure this was discussed when the schedule was released, but why in the hell are we playing on Monday? I wasn’t on top of the schedule like I usually am, so I missed this…. I also see we play IN BC next Saturday. Pretty weak.

  36. yeah....can see that being a reason....that and or the inevitable BA return...and a real issue I think is they trying to do too much, nobody is hitting it like they did last year...and it's not an O-line push issue...or lack there of....I think they trying to do too much and are in their own heads....also the lack of backfield motion and misdirection we used last year, and incorporating sweeps hasn't helped.... That being said.....I would give it 2 more games and if no real spark is generated, I would like to see the Import back DI'd and used to mix it up

  37. i still think it's inevitable our running back position gets flipped & maybe that's why they start 8 Canadians. I know our OL is struggling with the run game & maybeit's unfair to dump our lack of production on Oliveira & Augustine but status quo won't work because right now our run game is a non existent threat that wiil eventually grind down our passing game. It's easier to replace a running back than an OL. I just can't see Oliveira suddenly becoming a threat out of the backfield. He is what he is.

  40. It’s impossible for any one db to mess up coverage over all. Communication can be a real issue with change but that’s on leadership. The main issue with Malcom is that he sells out for hits too much. Wouldn’t really matter if he was faster or better in coverage imo. That alone severely limits his viability. But ba will be back before long and the communication is getting better. I’m sure this week we will see the best game from the secondary so far this year again.

  45. Remember when mos had a well below .500 record as a hc? Or when we were a good regular season team that couldn’t get traction in the play offs? In the last decade and 5 ish years this franchise has turned 180 and sustained a level of greatness that is seldom seen.

I can see why his attitude and conditioning last year would have rubbed O'Shea the wrong way - as was supposedly the case when his departure was announced. That's the exact opposite of being a true leader. No accountability.
