  1. All I can say is good for Kenny

  2. Am I taking crazy pills? What would be upsetting about swapping Adams for Ellingson? I love me some Darvin, but Ellingson can still go. He had 68.7 yards per game last year with some absolute dogshit quarterbacking. Adams had around two thirds of that with league best QB play. I would be happy to see us sign Ellingson. Ellingson, Bailey, Demski, Wolitarsky and a rookie like Agudosi or Blake Jackson? Sign me up.

  3. Dear Mr. Harris: Please demand a large signing bonus from the Riders and retire the next day like a certain QB once did. -Bomber Fans

  4. Good bye Kenny! Absolutely foolish for any team to offer a receiver 300k. But go get paid my man.

  12. My head understands the logic in maybe going with JA+BO and moving on from Harris but my heart is sad. Also surprised they seem to be moving on from Darvin.

  13. Ellingson is a big "meh". Be more interested in BJ Cunningham

  14. Darvin sets the tone. He plays with the right attitude, blocks his ass off, shows up in big games. A true leader. He deserves full respect and love here. Bailey would need to carry this torch.

  15. No to Speedy B. Ellingston would be interesting if true.

  16. yup....good for Kenny...but stupid spending I'd rather keep our approach...smart balanced across the board spending to keep quality everywhere....as opposed to 2 stars on a roster surrounded by slugs....good luck to teams with that motto Can't see lawler back now....oh well...we will survive

  19. I knew GQP bullshit was bleeding into this country but now we have direct proof of them financing said bullshit. What's most alarming, if the past week or so has been any indication watching the world's longest tantrum take place, is how many right leaning asshats want that **** here in Canada.

  24. I went and listened to the interview. It was a completely off the cuff remark - Jeff can't believe that we wouldn't bring Andrew back - and said something like maybe Wade could come in and appeal for common sense to prevail. Jeff didn't specifically say talk to Harris to take less or talk to Walters to spend more, he was just grasping at straws to try and imagine how we can still make this work.

  27. I think with BA its a matter of waitng to see what other pieces come in at....we can basically hide a good 3rd of his deal on the IR...so doubt money will be an issue with him...kind of a blessing which could allow us to bring back Darby along with already landing Rose, and maybe Stove

  29. not diminishing anything....he did a lot here...but any back will struggle with a crap o-line, and same thing would be said if he went back to vancouver...or to edmonton...3 teams with poor olines...dont try to spin this into a narrative that anyone is attacking cause he may be a Rider...and if anyone on here was more supportive of Harris....especially with the ped allegations than me....point me to them..I was the one with facts on the substance...why it isnt a choice in season for a football player....let alone a skilled position player...based on my knowledge and experience with the stuff when I played...gimme a break dude And "if" we resigned him I would have said hopefully its in a rotation/limited role to preserve him....not a slight of any kind..just the facts for a 35 yr old RB....He was lucky here last 2 seasons running behind a line that allowed him 80 percent of time to get to second level untouched...wont happen in Green....

  30. Wow, not even gone yet and already trying to find a way to diminish what he did here with the “maybe it was the o-line and not him ” angle, just because he may end up a Rider. Wonder when the PED Harris posts will start here If he goes over one province.

  32. That's what I was thinking. You could have two ball hawks back there, waiting to pick off errant throws. Get two or three pick-sixes a game and only lose by 20.

  34. I appreciate what Adams has done, but I agree with the team moving on. Over the last two seasons, he played 24 games and had <1k yards.

  35. Things I did not know about Nick Taylor did not play college football but instead was Florida International University's starting point guard.

  36. I love what Demski brings, but this statement is a real reach. He has never topped 660 yards receiving in a season, and seen spot duty returning and rushing. Joe Pop was miles ahead of him as a receiver and also kicked FGs for us once upon a time. Gerald Wilcox had monster numbers that make Demski’s pale in comparison. And Jeff Nicklin played both ways including as an inside receiver, got his number retired, and was a war hero. even Rick House put up more dominant seasons. I would place Demski behind all of them in the pantheon of greatest Canuck slots for the Bombers, even if he plays another 6 years and doubles his current stats.

  38. Since we're spit-balling receivers, Brandon Zylstra's contract with Carolina should be up soon. He's another Minnesota product that would look good in Royal blue.

  39. I am in the camp that says it is weird that Lawler hasn't confirned signed in BC yet. There was one report followed by complete silence. BC also signed about 10 more receivers.

  40. In the Nick of time. I'll show myself out, thank-you.

  41. No more skewed than removing a game performance to under-inflate stats. It’s like taking Lawler’s big game in BC out of the equation and saying he was the 5th best receiver last year. Williams came in in limited time and over that time put up numbers that would put him right around the top of the league pro-rated over a full season last year. When he left in 2018 he was the top receiver in the league. He can justify being the highest paid receiver, whether 260,000 is appropriate is up for debate but that is the market rate right now given Whitehead’s contract and Lawler’s offer, as well as Derel Walker’s past contracts. And

  42. I don’t know why we’re shitting on Duke’s performance. That’s a 1300 yard pace. He’s one hell of a receiver.

  43. Zylstra isn't coming back up here
    3 points
  44. He is... We can't debate it anymore. Bluto is a legend, but RT vs LT, I'm going LT. But it's them, and then a long way to whoever is 3rd....

  45. What I don't understand is how some media...and rider fans say/think Williams came back and was tremendous...4 games..17 receptions...285 yards and 1 td...148 of the yards came in 1 game against an esks team that had checked out...and 9 receptions and 163 yards and 1 td in playoffs..the TD due to Taylor slipping and most the yards from that...and the 34 yard non catch..hardly a 260k difference maker
