  1. Love how supportive the boys are to each other on social media. You can tell it’s a tight knit crew. Love it!!

  2. Lapo isnt a good QB developer...that can't be denied...he will thrive with an established QB to run his style of offence....He also tho stagnates receivers, and is probabaly the worst O/C coach to have to develop a new guy, and get the most out of him....we missed out on some decent guys actually coming here soley based on him being the OC...You can believe or doubt it if you want, but it is not assumption Strev...totally not a pocket passer...never was...but used right, with threat of run and the who's gonna get the ball, with the right OC calling plays, he can exploit teams with downfield passes not needing pin point accuracy, and accuracy can be learned, worked on, and made better....strength...velocity at a pro level is basically an is what it is thing...so he can probably be made into a very effective starter, not a prolific passer by any means, but win a lot of games....Tom Burgess sucked throwing the ball....but won a cup here....with a wicked defense...which is what we have here. To expect him to be a highest rated passer isnt his schtick, and doesnt mean he can't/won't win and from what I know of him he not all about the money...he wants to be a part of a team...contribute...and win....he knows the recipe and routine here...if he heads north...all sides will make it work here...book it

  6. Monstrous signing. He runs the D and was the best Defensive player in the league last year. Best believe the Riders and others were going hard at him if he hit FA. Him wearing Sask colours would make me puke

  8. Well, this just made my day. That is huge news!!

  9. Bighill's been showing a lot of love on social media for all the team's signings recently, so I figured he was leaning this way. He absolutely loves playing for Oshea, so you know he wanted to be here. And as others have said, he just spent a year building a custom home here. They wanna stay in the community for sure.

  10. A team (especially this team) could win with an offence designed for Strev's strengths. The Riders win with CF for godsake.

  11. In 2019, Rempel was our only LS, and he was easily replaced. Benson was very reliable but if he doesn't come back, I'm not concerned that we couldn't lure someone here given the mass amount of FA's across the league.

Hey headline writers and ‘journalists’, quit labelling anti-science drivel as ‘controversial beliefs’. Call it what it is. Stupidity in a vicious cycle of creation and sharing driven by entitlement and no sense of social responsibility.

  13. Based on his play in the playoffs the past few years it doesn't seem like he wants to.

  14. Alexander would be my number 2. Our defence changed completely when he was moved to safety. We need him. Not only for the big hits but the guy provides great coverage. Definitely my number 2 behind Collaros. I would still say Bryant would be my number third. He’s un doubt-idly the best tackle in the game by far.

  16. well duhhh...and what team doesn't?...where we have the edge, our resigns are top notch...a lot of teams need to upgrade, and that will cost them...resigning guys who are at their ceiling, or on downtrend and couldn't get it done for you last year, isn't a plan for success (looking at you Riders) Also...I bet if we chased a hot commodity in free agency, had some of the boys talk to him, we could sign em for a bit less to be part of this here, and be pretty much garuanteed top end of the playoff money...I not worried one bit about 2022 roster....and now have ultra faith in our scouting and player network....and what newbie wouldn't wanna consider coming to a back to back champ with it's core intact??

  17. I can finally say that I knew this was a 100% a done deal. I talked to Adam just before he went to Hawaii and although he didn’t say it outright that he was coming back you just knew it was a matter of time and dollars and there was nothing that was going to have him not sign. wish these deals were 2-3 year deals though lol.

  18. I want to see Streveler in a non-lapo offense before I write him off. Lapo made him a gimmick qb but he came in with a passing pedigree. I mean Jesus christ Cody Fajardo is making it as a starting qb and streveler is many times the passer he is.

  19. You know which side he's on. It kills him when we win and only comes around to slag the team. Ignore him and move on.

  20. FWIW: The Freep today called the Bombers to win a third straight Grey Cup. Sounds good to me,

  21. Streveler may not be as good a passer as Harris, but he is a legit threat that needs to be prepared for week to week. Harris sits on the bench doing nothing.

  22. Fact: YOU are the one moving the goal posts. No one said that pre-Collaros we were dominant. What was stated is we were better than mediocre. Fact: We were well above mediocre (1st place) until a season ending injury to our starting QB. We struggled, AS ANY TEAM WILL, behind our backup. Once Collaros came we went back to being above average. Fact: Our defence was the main reason we won both the 2019 cup. Collaros just game managed because he had very limited time in our system up to that point. Fact: No one is suggesting we were dominant at any point prior to 2021. The argument was about your use of the term mediocre to describe the pre-Collaros 2019 Bombers. An assessment that NO ONE seems to have but you and one that is most certainly nothing more than opinion on your part. Ours too, but we will man up and at least admit it's our OPINION and it vastly differs from yours. I will take solace in the fact that the overwhelming majority reject your opinion as a clue as to how accurate it might be. Fact: Our pre-Collaros TEAM was well above mediocre even after Nichols went down. I will cede that our QBing after Nichols injury and prior to Collaros left a lot to be desired but that's not the same as thing as calling the entire team mediocre. We were a very good team needing an upgrade at QB after injuries to both our starter and backup. It's that simple really.

Nothing you can do about AB until he realizes he has a problem and needs help. His antics have been documented for years. He's self-destructive and needs some intervention. Won't help though, until he's sees it himself. I don't expect him to see it, though, and I worry for his (and those around him's) safety and wellbeing.

A system we thought had a rigorous set of checks and balances was always just smoke and mirrors. The higher up you are, the more free wheeling you can do with limited consequences.

  26. A truth is something that is based on facts. Your opinion is not necessarily the truth because often it is not based in facts. Being consistently wrong does not strengthen your argument or make it any truer. Just because YOU believe something to be true, does not make it so. It's called having an opinion and you're entitled to one but when people don't agree with it they are not necessarily wrong.

  27. I mean....Cam did go to the super bowl. And I'm never gonna put too much weight behind Westwoods ability to scout QBs. The cardinals where they MADE him a pocket passer as a rookie? That cardinals game? After that game every single CFL fan was wondering why they forced him to stay in the pocket instead of doing RPOs or even a roll out every now and then, when that clearly is not his strong point. I'm having a hard time understanding why people can't see the differences in Strevs game vs Nichols and why the playbook didn't fit Strev as well as it fit Nichols/Collaros. They play different games. It's not surprising to see why he had his struggles. Like I said, 12 games starting is not a big enough sample to decide either way.
    3 points
  28. Some? He had two "good" games as a passer to start the 2018 season and struggled as a starter ever since. A decent game here and there in 2019 doesn't gloss that over, either. His 81.8 passer rating in the CFL over 35 games demonstrates his inability as a passing QB. Chris Streveler is a ******* legend around here, which is undebatable. He'll go down in local Blue Bombers lore for his grit, tenacity, and other intangibles as a member of this team, but none of that should blind you from the fact he leaves quite a bit to be desired as a pure passing QB. And at 27 years old, it's not unreasonable to think that may not change. Then look at his game tape with the Cardinals. You want to blame LaPolice yet again (quelle surprise) but Streveler struggled as a passer under another OC all the same. He suited up for 7 games in the NFL and his passer rating is 39.3, so trying to pin the blame on your favourite CFL bogeyman is laughable. And claiming he's a better passer than Fajardo is nothing more than complete fanboy drivel. Be better.

  32. Mechanics aside, i really think people are letting his devastating running ability and his legendary Grey Cup celebrating blur their memory about Streveler. Even after a couple of seasons with us he was still prone to horrendous decisions and brain farts in the passing game, often forcing throws and flat out missing wide open guys. People forget he started 7 games in a row during the latter part of 2019 and had a TD/INT ratio of 7-11, throwing multiple INT's in 5 of 7 games. His poor decision making followed him to Arizona where he was ultimately released after being outperformed by 35 year old journeyman Colt McCoy?!? He's shown flashes but is wayyyyyy too inconsistent to be trusted as a starter. Like Noeller said, i love the guy but he is not a #1 QB in any league.

  33. Hey, T Burg. Who damn well cares? That was 2 years ago. This team has won B2B Grey Cups. There's no asterisk after that win in 2019. No one cares what the Bomber record was in 2019. In 1970, the Als played the Stampeders in the Grey Cup. The Als beat the Stamps that day. What was their record that season? Do you know? Do you care? Does anyone care?? No. Nobody cares if the Als were an elite or MOR team. Is there an asterisk beside the Als winning the Grey Cup? All they know is they were league champs that year. That's all that matters. In 1989, the Riders beat the Tiger Cats in the Grey Cup. Was Saskatchewan an elite team? Do you know? Do you care? Does anybody care? Is there an asterisk beside the Riders win? All fans care about is they were Grey Cup champs. What about 2017? Were the Argos an elite team? Does anybody care? All fans know is that they were Grey Cup champions that season. Were the Argos an elite team? Is there an asterisk beside the Argos as champs? No one will care. No one cares now. All fans will care about is the Argos were Grey Cup champs. The only one who seems to care about this is you. None of the rest of us do. We just care about the fact the Bombers were champs in 2019. MOR team or not. The absolute & total physical beatdown of the Ti Cats in that championship game showed that they were deserving winners.

  34. Not sure why u can just say Stevy is a gimmick guy...that's basically how he was used by Lapo....and never let him do much else.....he wasn't a gimmick guyy in college, and in his first year here as well, was ok passing for a raw rookie to the league...guy has a good arm, can move, and if allowed to pass, and run will be just fine....2 yrs in the NFL, I am quite certain he has worked on a thing or two. If we were to tie our wagon to him, because ZC bolted, I would be fine with that...especially if we even have close to what we had on defense... he is a thrower pretty much how Phillip Rivers was/is...he did ok.....and what I like about Strev is no windup and easily can make a throw in full gallop...and is less likely to have shoulder issues...seen a ton of guys with his motion...and never were an issue

  38. We were pretty dominant this year. Not sure about 2019. We were a great team but I didn't go into every game with full confidence that eventually we would crush them in the 2nd half like this year. But whatever, I don't think "dominant" has a strict definition. 2019 we did it differently on offense. It was our run game that defined us. Of course, when we had zero passing game (streveler) it was a lot more difficult to run the ball. That's why Nichols or a new on the scene Collaros was able to get us the cup. 2021 our offense transformed quite a bit where we are now relying more heavily on our passing game. We still run the ball well but 2019 we were un-cfl-like in how much we ran it. Of course with our revamped passing game we needed a good passing QB. And we still need it IMO. I don't think we can go back to that run heavy offense with the personel we have. Plus I don't think Buck will want to.

actually, most americans, either party, want what Bernie stands for. single payer health care for example. but they wont get anything. Americans are fenced in by corruption. Every where you look, it's there in plain sight. There are no moves to the the good possible any more cause the net that has been built over the last thirty or forty years is far too comprehensive. municipal, state, national government, press, military, police, judiciary, church, education, all bases are covered by the corrupt. Pretty frightening what horrors their supreme court is going to spew over the next few years
