Me watching this thread unravel, just glad Pierce's tenure as OC is going so well and the team is 10-1 with first place locked up.

I love how we are now pretending that it wasn't the lapolice offense when he was the head coach here... in 02 he stepped into a good team, remember that in 01 khari was MOP MOP the team won 14 games. Under lapo they won less each consecutive year. And when he was head coach he had one stretch of winning, when swaggerville was doing it all. Then the third time he was here he jumped in to a team already on the rise. The long term work walters and oshea put in was starting to pay off. Can anyone honestly say that they think this team would be as good if we still had lapo here? Would collaros be having the season he is? Would Lawler? Or Bailey? Not sure why people fall all over themselves to defend the guy. He has never developed a qb or taken them to new heights, in fact just the opposite, he tends to make them worse the longer they play for him... Give me Buck Pierce any day of the week.

No idea why people are getting so uppity about top performer. QB doesn't get top performer without throwing for 300 yards. It's just numbers. We got awarded for scoring 45 points and giving up 0. It's called a win We're just a balanced team so we don't win as many of these.

The problem is it’s been heavily documented that Lapo has a lot to do with the talent level

If you could count each number in a second ( which you can't) and could count 24 hours a day ( which you can't) it would take 32 years. Whether it's money of the rich and powerful or the spending of governments (The US spends close to 780 billion on its military and have a 22 trillion dollar debt ) these numbers are insane. .It would take 32,000 years to count to a trillion by the above mentioned method. Bomber fans are just taken for granted. We stick with our team no matter what so the cfl doesn't feel the need to spend much time on thr Bombers.

I never doubted the hire..or worried about the trials and tribulations as well as the growing pains...I been through it before and know a respected player as such can and usually does make them team in his image...and it happened.. the Devils being fined a larger amount for circumventing the cap than the Hawks were for sexual abuse proves it's not NEARLY enough in Chicago, and proves that the league isn't taking it nearly seriously enough.

I'm sorry if I'm coming off way over the top but I find sexual assault to be one of the most reprehensible things one can do, if not the most. And, when people in power, who have the ability to do something, do nothing, it makes me very angry. Never mind that there were future victims.

I feel like this thread should be removed and and who wanted to fire O'Shea should have a permanent signature added to their account so we are reminded every time they post that they wanted to fire O'Shea. I skimmed a few pages, didn't see my name so I think I was smart enough just to avoid that thread. My favorite part is actually a post of someone commenting that Miller said he thought the team was headed in the right direction and it was going to take time to turn it around.

We needed a QB. For a short time there in 2014 it looked like we had found our guy in Drew Willy, and then we went back to wandering around in the wilderness. Matt Nichols did as much as anybody to save the Canadian Mafia and give them someone to build a team around. Let's face it, when those three guys took over it was basically scorched earth, and going right back to square one, with almost zero Canadians worth putting in the line up. And as well, a pretty toxic culture, that can't be changed over night. FIFO requires buy in from everyone, and the right guys in the locker room to buy into it. Anyway, I had my doubts along the way as well, especially in those first few years when I could see O'Shea was in a bit over his head and doing the Tim Burke thousand yard stare while the whole stadium was screaming for him to throw a challenge flag etc. But we're past all of that now. And thank goodness for that!

I generally agree with your takes on Lapo. But this isn't at all a fair comparison lol. Dickenson has never had to take over a Dumpster fire team. Comparing what CGY is (was?) and what Lapo has had to work with just isn't fair. It's bordering on apples to oranges imo.

The Tories, both federal and provincial, know that without the nutball fringe, they have no chance of winning any elections. So they have to pretend while knowing that they have no intention of following through. Cynical, but its all they have.

I absolutely hate these things being tried in public, especially in the day of social media. Someone reports a bunch of tweets, those get jumped on and Cheveldayoff is automatically guilty and should be fired. I don't think he should be suspended now either. Let the process unfold. The meeting with Bettman is on Monday, it isn't months away. This is being taken seriously by the league. For those who don't think "justice" will be served, it already has on Chicago. Bowman has been forced to resign. Let the investigation unfold, and trust the people who will have access to all the information will make the right decisions.

Wpg's TP% seems extraordinarily low, thanks in large part to high vaccine uptake. Sad to see what's happening in North/South, but the key to Manitoba is what's going on in Winnipeg, and so far that seems pretty darn good...

Those were 2 brutal giveaways, for sure, but you don’t bench him. He’s been playing well overall and those miscues are correctable. We need to remember he’s only 23 and still learning.

2000 for sure and I think 91 too was oc by committee. Seriously. Pretty awful move. I believe worman was involved in the play book in 2000 too. Not sure though. Right. Most of those years we didn't have a qb coach either. Just craziness. In plops first year here they kept the worman playbook its pretty well known. Khari was familiar with it and plop tweaked it. Namely with more screen opportunities to the backs. And I have to say as a member of the not plop fan base calling plays from some one else's playbook is crazy hard and un natural. Buck has shown tremendous ability to predict and adapt to defensive tendencies. He's shown some flashes of great creativity too. I'm very optimistic for how good an oc he can become. Right now we don't miss any oc from the past 30 years. Yeah. I mean that offense didn't have many pieces and he was under a control freak but the adjustment to the cfl game is hard especially for established ocs. I think you have to bring them in slow not just drop them into the mix right away.

Are you suggesting that the Canadian carbon tax provides additional tax on hydroelectricity? I'd love to see a source for that. Most of the revenues are redistributed to individual. This can be seen as indirectly subsidizing alternative energy since you get your share of revenues back regardless of how carbon-intensive your lifestyle is. Use electric vehicles and renewable energy - you don't pay the levy on carbon-based fuels, but still get to keep the payout. In addition to this, part of the revenues are earmarked directly for subsidizing energy efficiency and reducing carbon output. This is addition to any funding for green energy supplied outside of the system to put a price on carbon. There is already tons of rhetoric about this just being another tax grab on Canadians. I can only imagine how bad it would get if the majority of funds did not end up back in the hands of Canadians directly - more often than not being a net-positive.

Honestly, I don’t know which Bomber was more deserving of the POTW than the three named. Stanback had over 200 yards rushing, Lewis had 156 yards receiving and 2 TDs. Hunter had two picks. No one on offence for the Bombers had eye-popping numbers, and Jeffcoat’s two sacks might give him a chance, but turnovers are usually regarded more highly. I am more than happy with a dominant TEAM win than picking one or two guys and ignoring the rest who were equally as important in the win. There is only one truly important thing to win, and the Bombers plan to keep it in their possession on December 12.

Don't really understand the Arbuckle trade for the Argos. Only way it makes sense to me is to save cap space but given the signing bonus don't even see much there. To me they've given up on this season even though they are contenders. MBT isn't taking them anywhere and they are also one hit away from Pipkin.

I can't believe the CFL actually strong armed the NHL into something. Regardless of how it happened, that's pretty remarkable. Glad to see it. Since I'll still have to fly out on the Monday morning, hopefully there's a party somewhere to watch the Jets game after we've finished **** kicking whomever in the football game.....

Wow....I don't think you are watching the same Bighill as I am....perhaps his brother Norman? Bighill is definitely the best MIKE in the West this year. It's not just tackles with Biggie he is picking off balls 25 yards downfield, and is blitzing then chasing down guys in the flats. He is a beast this year. 2019 I would have definitely agreed with you but there is nothing over rated about Biggie this year.

You don't even have to be an Argo fan to see who got hosed on this deal. Not sure what's up with Arbuckle though. Both Ottawa and Toronto have moved him. Can't be that he's making too much - $9k per game left on his salary for this season.
