  1. Just bought tickets for my first game of the season for me and my girl friend! With our schedules we just haven’t had the chance to catch a game yet so excited to be there in person this Friday!

  2. Collaros is easily the MOP favorite. He’s pacing out to a 4850 yard, 27 TD, 9 INT season and completing passes at a 72% clip. Those are MOP numbers.

Surgery and it will be more like 4 weeks. Chris Long always says he hates these timelines because it puts pressure on the player. This time is the time frame of when it medically heals, it doesn't mean you are ready to play. He makes good points

  14. It was a tongue-in-cheek comment obviously, but after listening to Suitor for many many years no one can deny that he tends to get much more animated and excited over the most mundane/average Rider plays/players, much more so than for any other team, and is willing to heap praise on the Riders at every turn. Its taken a 7-1 absolutely dominating Bomber team to finally get his praise.

Bombshell ‘Pandora Papers’ Shed Light On Global Elite’s Financial Secrets Hundreds of world leaders, powerful politicians, billionaires, celebrities, religious leaders and drug dealers have been hiding their investments in mansions, exclusive beachfront property, yachts and other assets for the past quarter-century, according to a review of nearly 12 million files obtained from 14 firms located around the world. The report released Sunday by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists involved 600 journalists from 150 media outlets in 117 countries. It’s being dubbed the “Pandora Papers” because the findings shed light on the previously hidden dealings of the elite and the corrupt, and how they have used offshore accounts to shield assets collectively worth trillions of dollars. The more than 330 current and former politicians identified as beneficiaries of the secret accounts include Jordan’s King Abdullah II, former U.K. Prime Minister Tony Blair, Czech Republic Prime Minister Andrej Babis, Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta, Ecuador’s President Guillermo Lasso, and former associates of both Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan and Russian President Vladimir Putin. Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta was one of many prominent politicians identified as beneficiaries of secret offshore accounts, according to a bombshell investigation called the “Pandora Papers.” The billionaires called out in the report include Turkish construction mogul Erman Ilicak and Robert T. Brockman, the former CEO of software maker Reynolds & Reynolds. Many of the accounts were designed to evade taxes and conceal assets for other shady reasons, according to the report. “The new data leak must be a wake-up call,” said Sven Giegold, a Green party lawmaker in the European Parliament. “Global tax evasion fuels global inequality. We need to expand and sharpen the countermeasures now.” Oxfam International, a British consortium of charities, applauded the Pandora Papers for exposing brazen examples of greed that deprived countries of tax revenue that could be used to finance programs and projects for the greater good. “This is where our missing hospitals are,” Oxfam said in a statement. “This is where the pay-packets sit of all the extra teachers and firefighters and public servants we need. Whenever a politician or business leader claims there is ‘no money’ to pay for climate damage and innovation, for more and better jobs, for a fair post-COVID recovery, for more overseas aid, they know where to look.” The Pandora Papers are a follow to a similar project released in 2016 called the “Panama Papers” compiled by the same journalistic group. The latest bombshell is even more expansive, porting through nearly 3 terabytes of data — the equivalent of roughly 750,000 photos on a smartphone — leaked from 14 different service providers doing business in 38 different jurisdictions in the world. The records date back to the 1970s, but most of the files span from 1996 to 2020. In contrast, the Panama Papers culled through 2.6 terabytes of data leaked by one now-defunct law firm called Mossack Fonseca that was located in the country that inspired that project’s nickname. 21. I know we all like to rag on the riders... but I find it hard to believe their offense won't be helped even a little bit by the return of Evans and additional of Duke... Sorry... I'm not sure if anyone else feels this way... but I'm uncomfortable with the Bombers being this dominant... in my lifetime as a Bomber fan, I'm not sure I've ever seen a Bomber team this much better than everyone else... not even 2001... I just can't shake the feeling that something bad is going to happen... even seeing some of the usual debbie downers around here optimistic just feels weird...

  22. Well, no more excuses for Cody. If you cant get Duke Williams to catch your coveted contested long balls, then maybe its a problem with the CFL's reigning MOP/Glen Suitor love interest?

Cody can't throw a deep ball. In the first half of 2019 it was almost comical how his receivers were bailing him or how lucky he was getting with DBs tipping it right into his receivers hands etc. His luck ran out in the last half of 2019 and has stayed that way since. He chronically underthrows and overthrows receivers. Duke is going to find out that Cody will make him earn every catch he makes.

now we will see more pics from Faj as he tries to force it there now..over and over...you can book that...half of Dukes 50/50 wins were Offensive pass interference, and u need a QB to be able to put a ball in a place to make the catch...that hasn't changed with the Duke signing

I would still like to see us get a bully who can put the body on smaller defensive backs … basically Duke. It’s an element we are missing but it doesn’t prevent us from being the GC favorite and it doesn’t put the Riders over the top so whatever.

  27. 50/50 balls? Is that what Fajardo is calling his deep passes? I think he is delusional. The guy is either throwing 15 yards over his receivers or 10 yards short. A 50/50 ball is a ball that the receiver has a reasonable chance of catching. His balls are way off the mark. He is quite literally just spraying balls everywhere. Rider fans are blaming Maas for this but even the last 4-5 games of 2019 this was what was happening with Fajardo. He can't throw the deep ball and now teams have figured that out. In early 2019 he was able to use his legs to great effect and to hit on the intermediate routes consistently. He was never good with the deep shot but kept the chains moving. Teams are shutting down his bread and butter slants and middle crossing routes and he has nothing now. Way overrated QB whose flaws are shining through now that the book is out on him. Complaining about his receivers....lol...their isn't a receiver in any league past, present, or future that could catch the vast majority of his deep passes...uncatchable.

  28. Interesting to see how the Media/CFL picks the all-stars this year as well...On defense alone if the Jeff's, Biggie, Alexander, Jones and a strong case for one of Alford or Nichols is not an allstar if things continue as it is would be a right joke Same on Offence...both Tackles, Collaros, Lawler, Demski and I'd go as far to say Desjarlais and Neufeld should be shoe in as it stands as of right now

From the few games that I've watched with the Riders this year, it seems like they take at least 3 - 5 completely avoidable penalties. I think it was in the first series against Calgary where Marshall pushes the reciever down after he had already taken many steps out of bounds which then pushed the ball closer to the goal line. They also seem to take many more no yards and off sides then other teams.

  35. “50-50 balls are our nemesis. I watch everyone else throw these balls up and make catches, obviously I’m a little frustrated right now. It’s been one of those things, anytime it goes up, it seems to be a pick or an incompletion,” Fajardo said post-game. He's so close...should we tell him?

  36. Zach's also much more mobile allowing his receivers to get open when he scrambles around much like Tom Clements was. DC's around the league have to account for him in their matchups so it's truly 12 0n 12 & not 12 on 11 as it was with Matt Nichols who was no threat to run. The four best qbs since 1981, Brock, Clements, Jones & Collaros. Not necessarily in that order.

Actually he was MOP runner up and he wasn't that amazing in 2019. IMO, only reason he got the West MOP nod was the Winnipeg media screwing over Andrew Harris and every other western QB missing time due to injury.
