  1. He also got vaxxed in a wedding dress and raised money/awareness of transgender rights and issues. Makes me very proud that he's a Bomber alum.

  2. That's some A+ analysis. If a football team loses their starting QB they are not as good. Here I was thinking most teams had a guy on the sideline who is better that they don't play just because.

  3. I just wanted to take a second to say, again, how thankful I am that someone like Booch, who has infinitely more knowledge about the CFL than any of us ever will, participates on this message board. It is appreciated every day.

  4. John Rush is a Goddamned Saint. On top of the things mentioned here, he saved the Grey Cup from a hotel fire in Kenora!

  5. Vernon Adams not only ripped a helmet off but also swung it at a player. He was not thrown out. I hope you're done now.

  9. pre-play scrums....face mask grabs...helmet rip offs happen all the time, and always have...and still will....and until there is a black and white rule saying it's an ejection, and not a "judgment" call by a ref then you will rarely..if ever see an ejection....thats the facts...there were several other things in that melee that should have been flagged which weren't...is what it is. Not saying I am the be all end all on knowledge, but I have played the game..know the game, and it's not an objectional offence unless u use said helmet as a weapon after the fact...it's cut and dried....now lets all move on....we all agree it was a UR penalty which it is always flagged for...

  10. Title says it all. First up, Calgary at Hamilton, I've got the Stamps over the TiCAts but I think this should be a close one.

  13. go find an incident of a player tossed for what you are yammering on about...and good luck with it. and contrary to your boasting...yes..if u throw a helmet at a player or use it as a weapon after the fact you will be tossed....look it up..i'll give u a good start..it came into effect due to what Alzado did to a Lineman back in the day Most of your comments and arguing points here are based on your personal opinion and your biased opinion against many a poster....why..who knows but me thinks it's because your mommy didnt hug you enough as a child....carry on

  14. I hadn't realized that so many in the Elks fanbase had turned on Harris. I guess they're getting what they hoped for. Elizondo (not the best coach in Tampa last year) brought Yukon Cornelius with him, so he knows him.

  15. Advocatus diaboli, the office of the devils advocate, can be useful. But the thing about pure contrarians is they dont present facts or counter arguments most of the time. Usually denial of the assertion is confused with evidence to them. "No you prove its not true!" type of thing. That does make for an un interesting fruitless argument for sure. But thats the extent of what you usually get from contrarians, or people just being contrary for the sake of it. Opinions in sports are often quickly formed and seldom lack the drive to run counter to any one elses opinion, no matter their validity. But the difference in opinion between people who watch the ball, and people who watch the play is tremendous. People who dont have dont any significant time studying game film have a gigantic disadvantage. The books "how to watch a football game" and "Take your eye off the ball" can open that door as well. I dont always agree with posters on here who have a high football knowledge and experience base. But I do understand that they are far different than people who make assertions based on chasing the ball with their eyes. Like people early this year, and all of 2019 who swore up and down that bighill had lost a step and was too slow to accomplish much. Now hes dropping deep, covering wrs, all around the ball and that talk is gone. Now they see him central to the play. Virtually all the experienced, knowledgeable posters shot this assertation down immediately. Despite some holding pretty far opposing views in other areas. Ill take the word of any one who clearly has 1000+, or 500+ hours of time studying game film at any organized level over any one who doesnt every single time. Wont be right every single time, but they will be a big majority of the time.

  22. I don't like that a Bomber alum is promoting murder on twitter. Classless, a black mark on this team I love so dearly. Rush should be ashamed, honestly. (/s for you humorless folks) I found the tweet that triggered this whole thing, by the way: No mention of actually beating anyone up, but the implication is obviously there... oh well, some of those aggressive anti-vaxxers blocking entryways and screaming at patients could use a shot to the jaw

  32. Fair enough! I think the Cats are wildly overrated and while the Stamps aren't a good team this year, I think they're a lot better than the Cats without a real QB...

  33. I'm just such a fan of the game and have never played organized football, so any knowledge from someone who's actually been there in a pro huddle (not to mention a CFL TC) is a real treat.... Major bonus for this board.

  35. Well the nuance you may not be picking up on is a lot of us here are obsessed with, no matter the four Grey Cups the Riders have won since joining the league in 1961, that they truly indeed suck and suck hard. To illustrate this point what you'll see at times on this board will be a discussion about something completely unrelated to the Riders and we will randomly put in our 'analysis' something like btw, Riders suck! It's in our DNA. All in good fun my friend ๐Ÿ™‚

if he comes back, he will have to still provide a test, and if he flunks will get a suspension based on the failed test. He is suspended right now for failing to submit. Mandatory I have seen done monthly, as well as after every game, and also involves randoms too

  42. Stegall was the GOAT and he played with crappy quarterbacks the majority of his career. His 2002 season with nearly 1900 yards and 23 touchdowns is just insane. Donโ€™t think I ever remember him even dropping a single ball until his last season.

  43. 95. Kevin McDougal from Notre Dame and Shawn Moore from UVA too. Added Reggie Slack after he got cut from Birmingham like 3-4 games in. Stegall's rookie year, 2nd half of 95. Crazy to think what he did with the first 4-5 years of his career being a total revolving door of QB's.

  44. Ummm has fajardo not started every game for the riders thus far ( Bombers kicked his ass twice in a row by the way) Harris has been in the whole time for the elks up til now... so why is it just an excuse now that the Bombers record is better than everyone else's? I will say this, the narrative that the Bombers are just lucky with injuries is crap. Our team has depth. Full stop. That is why it doesn't appear injuries have impacted them. Get a GM that does his job and you can replace guys lost to injury. Kyle walters is the hardest working most proactive Gm in the cfl. Change my mind.

  45. yup..Harris has permanent residence in their narrow minds...they still go on about him being a PED user and isnt half the player he was without them..yet fail to see what he did when he came back, and into the playoffs..what a bunch of clowns
