On the upside, if Rider fans don’t have proof of vaccination, they can’t get into IG Field for the Banjo Bowl.

  4. Interesting take from SK kicker Brett Lauther. Basically, that the Globals are coming in and taking jobs from qualified Canadian kickers. My questions are, where are these great unemployed Canadian kickers, and can we get one? https://3downnation.com/2021/08/26/it-does-suck-roughriders-brett-lauther-believes-global-policy-unfair-to-kickers/

The problem isnt the wrs. Remember when lucky whitehead was invisible for us last year? Yeah leading the league in receiving. Weve seen lots of wrs leave winnipeg and suddenly be legit threats. Idk how many itd take, the issue is not talent. Woli is very good, but hes playing the field side wide out. Thats a hard position to excel at. Its long passes no matter what. We dont do much to involve him in the offense. The play call has to utilize its weapons. It isnt play ground football where you run what ever route and just try to get open. Being open is about a couple seconds of a throwing window. And on the field side, that window is small. We also use motion with our wrs to run flood / sweep concepts with demksi and bring woli in from the field to block. That motion changes defensive back leverage and can shift defenders to open the run. Last year we saw more yankee concepts where we would play action to move the box defenders up and to a side and open up short seams and passing windows. We havent done that much this year, and our run game hasnt been good for 2 out of 3 games. Our passing offense is not self sufficient for the most part. We dont make heavy use of timing routes, rubs, attack the seams we rely on play action, sweeps and motion. When the run game fails, play action doesnt work. We havent used PA alot this year, and didnt have demski last week so we didnt even have the jet sweep / motion fake to set stuff up. Hamilton moved guys out of the box to match our motion and bit on PA. That opened up holes for our inside zone running scheme. Toronto did not. Their DL anchored and disengaged for tackles, gap cancelled and they loaded the box with various defenders at varied depths. If we dont improve our play call and execution every team will start doing that. Buck pierce has made some changes to what we do, but he is still very much a plop disciple. His offense is very similar. As of yet it hasnt shown to be better at much other than deeper passes. On top of all that, woli's been banged up and was questionable last week. He would be much better off at SB with a faster guy at his wideout spot. Woli would put up 1k+ receiving with any team save ottawa and be an elite ni wr.

  12. And where did I say they were close to winning? Pay attention. I said they played like **** and were still close. Do you expect them to be THAT bad every game? The fact the game was close is a statement whether you like it or not.

Wrs going up for the ball almost never get called for offensive pi because the db almost always initiates contact. 18 yards per catch tremendous speed especially for a 6 foot 4 225 lbs wr. He had monster yac and catch rate. The hardest wr match up in the league. almost 1600 yards and 11 tds on 88 catches. No one was close in 2018 to him. Darvin Adams best year too.

  25. No point this week for the Edmonton / TO game. It may still be rescheduled. If it does, we will add it to that weeks games. If it is forfeited, then no one gets a point for it and it wouldn't affect the relative standings.

  28. have u ever played football?...and realize u can't stop on a dime, or make an abrupt 90 degree turn?...you play the play....and shouldnt be penalized for it on a bang bang play...U can also see BA actually didn't fully follow through on that hit....used a perfect shoulder tackle, kept head and helmet out of it and didnt target the head...was a crap cheap call. If the ball was jarred loose with the same hit, and a turnover resulted would the player be flagged for being too mean and tough??..gimme a break...thats football man...hard nosed football...these players know what they signed up for...

  29. And despite all of that the score says the Bombers hung around. This isn't trying to turn a loss into a moral victory, this is saying that cleaning up some very correctable things and the team will be fine. Lots of errant passes and drops that are out of character for players on this team. So again, it's a loss but it's not the end of the world. Most of the problems they had in that game are ones that are easily correctable. Or do you think there guys are really as bad as they played?

Charles Darwin would be proud. The whole point of being a right-wing government is that you can absolve yourself of all responsibilities for the public welfare, after all, its everyone for themselves. You can stand by your guiding principle that its all about personal responsibility. If an unvaccinated person infects you, you obviously were not vigilant enough.

So was reading Hannover School Division's twitter and they're announcement of the new policies. They put the blame on the province. It was interesting there is a teacher on that thread who asked what about those who do not get vaccinated? Told by the Supe, those people can get tested three times a week. Response = what about those who don't get tested? Its like um believe that means you get fired.

  33. No, that thread (or the random video thread) is the place for anything heartwarming. I think the “non-political” add on was that anything political could be seen as negative just for the nature of the subject or the fact that depending on your political leaning it may be negative to you. Glad to see more cheerful posts, don’t let the technical glitch of re-creating an existing thread deter you. Restoring faith in humanity is always of interest. Simply a housekeeping reminder.

  36. Bailey has had his struggles, and I can think of at least one if not two catchable passes he whiffed on in the last outing. But he is tied for the club lead in TD catches. And he was hardly alone in the subpar game against Toronto category. Lawler dropped one, and he has been our best receiver so far. Adams lost control of a crucial one near the goal line, and seemed more interested in jawing the Argos than just concentrating on playing. Demski seems to need to get involved early or else he becomes an afterthought. Wolitarsky has been virtually invisible so far this year. And Collaros was definitely off, and his best football this year is when he has been running for his life, not the preferred way to play QB (at least I think that is true, having never played or coached at a high level, maybe that is how the best offences are drawn up).

'Smoking gun' evidence shows Trump made illegal donation to Florida attorney general's campaign -Getty Newly revealed records show Donald Trump likely broke the law by issuing a campaign donation to the Florida attorney general investigating his fraudulent university. The Trump Foundation issued a $25,000 check in 2013 personally signed by the real estate mogul and reality TV star to a political action committee associated with Pam Bondi's re-election campaign, and The Daily Beast obtained new records that dispute Trump Organization denials made when the donation became an issue during the 2016 campaign. "It kind of blows up their whole story," said Jordan Libowitz, communications director for Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington. "The Trump Organization staffers knew they were making this political donation. There are no questions about it. There is no ambiguity." Trump Flips Out at House Committee After It Requests Secret Capitol Riot Documents -Reuters Former president Donald Trump has threatened to use presidential powers, despite no longer being president. On Wednesday, he said he would invoke executive privilege to block the House Select Committee from investigating documents containing communications tied to the Capitol riots. “Executive privilege will be defended, not just on behalf of my Administration and the Patriots who worked beside me, but on behalf of the Office of the President of the United States and the future of our Nation,” the ex-president said in a statement. Trump’s successor Joe Biden will have the final say over whether the information can be shared, and the Biden administration has said it won’t stand in the way of the committee’s investigation. CNN reports that the documents Trump is trying to block include records from the Departments of Justice, Interior and Defense as well as the National Archives, which host Trump’s records while in office. In his angry statement, Trump also called the committee “a partisan sham and a waste of taxpayer dollars.”

  39. I did see it, however that symbol has multiple meanings now and context is important. People do use it to say "ok" it has been used to say "3 points" as well, most often in Basketball. AND it has been used by assholes who don't understand how unimportant skin color is. Not using it because of that last reason should not be an option as far as I'm concerned. And calling someone a ws after they used it AFTER they just scored 3 points is fairly ignorant. It started as a joke I do believe. But it 100% has caught on in douchebag groups. You will often see pictures of "proud boys" (lol what a ******* dumb name) holding it up.

  43. I know it's a long ass video but it's a good one. It's the rugby wrap tackle applied to football. A few teams in the us have adopted it but not many. They practice it with no pads on it's that safe. The legion of boom still had lots of hard hits and could do it with hawk tackles.
