It’s locked but I just wanted to use my admin powers for the first time in years to reply to you and say We aren’t affiliated with the Bombers, nor do you have the “freedom of speech” to fall back on when you’re accessing a private online forum. Take your idiotic babble somewhere else.

  7. @BobIrvingCJOB - Andrew Harris will be held out of Blue Bomber practice for the next two weeks. Head coach Mike OShea would only say The 34-year old Harris doesn’t need to practice, and the young backs, like Brady Oliveira, need the work. Anyone believe what MOS says about injuries?

    Covid-19

Schools outside Metro had very little or nothing of that. It seems there were other factors at play. But I don't imagine any of us will be seeing the data.

  13. According to the Freep, our punting is in good hands with Legghio- he was seen hanging punts with very good distance and placement.

  14. I don't know. I recall far fewer passes being thrown to his side of the field, because Chris Randle also played on that side.

Sad thing is, the certain amount of gall and shamelessness to just straight out lie to your viewers... because that fuckwad is 100% doubly vaccinated.... I ******* hate these people.

I heard on the news on my way home tonight that the MB and AB Law Society’s are arguing over who gets to deal with the POS. Sounds like the both want to hang’em high.

  20. We do have an extra DI spot as we'll be using a national kicker, so we could go DL/DB/Returner/RB, if they want to lessen the load on Harris. Hopefully this is just prevention and not the end for Harris.

  31. That's a valid question. You never know he's accomplished about every thing he could want. Now we wait and hope for the best. No joke. It's not like he's a guy who is one dimensional. His return and pass catching skill plus athleticism makes him a great fit up here. He could be a return man wr or rb or a di xfactor type of guy you weave in with a package of plays.

Schools were not closed back in late fall - with daily case counts of 400 - 600. This spring, they were not shut down province wide.

  36. I thought that was the dumbest signing by the Wild in terms of length, 15 M of cap gone for 9 straight years. I liked Parise and Suter but Minne greatly overpaid and it didn't really bring them success. It's now Matt Dumba's team.

  37. In the last 3 years McGuire has 0 CFL TD's and has thrown for 17 total yards. Jennings played on Ottawa who only won 3 games in 2019. Some of that is on him, some of it is beyond his control. Jennings doesn't have a huge upside, but he has experience. A rookie QB, which is what McGuire essentially is, won't win us the cup. A vet backup would at least give us a chance. The Bombers have no problems with having vets on the PR. Neufeld has spent a ton of time on the PR over the years while paying him big bucks. It's OK, cuz the money doesn't count towards the SMS. The same thing is true for a vet backup QB. Not bringing Jennings or any vet QB for that matter doesn't mean that McGuire has already beaten them out in the coaches minds. It means the Bombers have made their plan and will stick to it. McGuire's being given the job. Neither of the rookie QB's are around to compete with him. They're extra arms for TC. One might stick around on the PR. They've also given the kicking job to our rookie kicker without any competition. That doesn't mean that Leggo has beaten the vet kickers out there in the coaches minds. It means that Leggo is the first choice and we'll bring in another kicker only if he can't do the job. It's less of a risk because kickers don't need to understand the whole offence to do their job. If/when Collaros goes down, we'll hear about how he won't be down long and how we'll be fine with McGuire. In the background we will start looking for a vet backup and take whoever is available at the time. Maybe that's Jennings, but whoever it is, they won't have the advantage of training camp or knowing the offence. That means they won't be as effective for a game or three. Those games plus the McGuire games could be the difference between a good season and a bust. An insurance QB on the IR would reduce the risk.

  38. Is there a good to great experienced backup QB out there? Nope, but Jennings is probably the best experienced backup QB to bring to TC. If McGuire can't beat him for the #2 spot, then he's not our QB of the future anyway. If/When Streveler becomes available, I'd offer him the #1A spot. In the meantime, Jennings would have a mysterious injury forcing him onto the IR where his salary doesn't matter to the SMS and it allows McGuire to get the #2 QB reps. Reasons: Experienced backup QB who has won and lost games in the CFL. Dude's thrown for 13K yards in the CFL and thrown 69 TD's. Experienced backup QB who knows our system and who is in all the meetings. (Why you bring him to camp) Experienced backup QB who we could instantly put on the roster if/when Collaros goes down. Don't have to bring in a QB who doesn't know the system if/when Collaros goes down. Plan for the worst and hope for the best.

  39. There’s a few things being lost on the analysts that I feel like we should be paying more attention to. Won’t come up as prominently against Hamilton, since they’ve also returned the majority of their roster but our continuity + ability to coach the quirky parts of the game could lead to us absolutely taking advantage of Toronto/Calgary in weeks 2-4 as they settle in with all their new players learning new systems. Unfamiliarity with the schemes, league, staffs, etc leaves them wide open for being dismantled in an area where we always excel - special teams. May take a while to coach up the receivers or the defensive backs that are new to our roster, but guys like the Halletts .. no doubt they’ll be ready to go on special teams week 1. Next is that we’re returning almost every single piece in the trenches. Talk about age all you want, to be returning 8 of 9 starters on the OL/DL is huge and it’s unmatched league wide. Lastly, we still have a culture that lends itself well to being able to respond well to adversity. We already know the buy-in is there with our roster, these new guys should be able to take advantage of a locker room that is going to be solid enough that our new players should fit right in. No drama, no players like Banks talking about “will I play, won’t I play?”, that stands out as something that could be a big help in such a weird year.

  42. I agree that Oliveira and Borsa have the skills to make it. But until they do, I'm not anointing them. I'll give you the pass blocking thing. But the rest is bordering on weird opinion. The majority of his carries came in his 2 starts last (2019) year, where he displayed that he can catch the ball out of the back field (see banjo bowl) and out run defenders. He also showed he can make guys miss in the open field (see Labor day). And those are just the examples I can think of. He also played Special teams....I believe it's been mentioned that his yrds per carry are real nice at around 6yrds, but it's a small sample size. I'm just confused at the lack of respect for a guy who has only produced for us.

  43. Can anyone who has reservations/doubts about Augustine explain why? As far as I'm concerned the Bombers are very lucky to have him. He's done nothing but perform when given the opportunity. Catches the ball well out of the back field, runs hard and heavy, but can make DB's miss in the open field. I don't get the heat he's taking? The other two NI's have done absolutely nothing at this level, so I'm not sure why they would be preferred over a guy who has shown multiple times that he belongs here.

  44. You are not impressed by Augustines 6+ yards per carry yet you are impressed by Oliviera's zero carries and one big injury? That is a weird take.

  45. It is a bit concerning to me that Andrew Harris has been sitting out a year and is not 20 years old any more. I take comfort in that our coach and GM are on the job, but primo Canadian running backs are rare birds.
