    Bombers Signings

So Farhan tweeted this: @FarhanLaljiTSN @Stmn_Willie_Bmn got a 205K contract with 100K signing bonus and it wasn't acrimonious. I'm surprised he didn't get more. It's a pretty good deal for Winnipeg." To which Jefferson replied Yea man we just trying to build a dynasty over here!!!! I just love this tweet and Jefferson.

From Farhan Lalji on Twitter... Shocked to hear that Adam Bighill’s contract for 2021 is 115k (down from 260k). I know he has strong business interests in Winnipeg, but is speaks volumes for the atmosphere Mike O’Shea has created with #Bombers that a player would take that much less to stay there. @CFLonTSN 1/2 ...and if there is an off-season GM of the year award, it goes to Kyle Walters. @andrewharris33, @Bighill44, @Stmn_Willie_Bmn, @Demski9, @ZCollaros7, Bryant, Hardrick, Gray, Antigha, Jeffcoat, Thomas, Maston all back under manageable deals. Most of the heavy lifting already done!

I'll welcome anyone of them. Ellingson is a 1000-yard receiver for 5 straight yr. Rogers is also a 1000-yd receiver if he stays healthy. I would think they also understand the league situation salary-wise. I don't like Jefferson before when he was wearing a different colors... heck even Harris when he still playing with BC. But I really love them both now..

Peterman is a guy I really want back, but if I was him, I'd absolutely be looking at FA as a way to find a starting role. The guy is good enough to be a starting WR/SB in this league, but is stuck behind some pretty good players in Wpg.

3DN got **** on pretty good by some *legitimate* media the other day for their shoddy piece on the league not doing enough right now to ensure the government is on board for a new season.....tells me all I need to know about 3DN. People that matter don't really respect it. It's not really worth your clicks.

Those "insider" articles are becoming more and more laughable. No one talks about Rogers? Who are they listening to? And WHY TF would Ottawa let their biggest FA walk away without playing a single down, under a HC who has publicly stated He has wanted to work with him for years? Anyway 3down is really becoming hard to read/take seriously. I hope they figure it out asap.

Subtext: We were such a disaster for so long, our government completely botching the restrictions, that we were already in a full Code Red for a month and a half before Xmas came and so, only by our mismanagement of the pandemic, we were in lockdown. We remain a shameful embarrassment.

  36. Interesting thoughts on Nick Arbuckle maybe playing in Toronto by Justin Dunk considering Arbuckle signed a restructured deal in Ottawa weeks ago. Now that LaPo is gone there is no reason why we can't have a thousand yard rusher in Harris & at least two thousand yard receivers with the players we have.

  38. I know how painful it is to have the light of your life torn away and fall into an abyss of emptiness and despair. There are many for whom the life alone without their soulmate is so devoid of meaning and joy that they choose to wither away soon after their mates. It take a lot of courage and support to try to reassemble a life alone.

The failure to confront the white supremacist invasion of police forces has had deadly consequences The apparent participation of off-duty officers in the rally that morphed into a siege on the U.S. Capitol building Jan. 6 has revived fears about white supremacists within police departments. These concerns are not new. White supremacy, the belief that white people are superior to other races, has long tainted elements within law enforcement. As I testified before Congress just months before this assault, there is a long history of racism in U.S. policing – and this legacy may have contributed to the violence in the Capitol in Washington, D.C. Reports of officers involved in an attack in which the symbols and language of white supremacy were clearly on display are concerning. But so too, I believe, is a policing culture that may have contributed to the downplaying of the risk of attack before it began and the apparent sympathetic response to attackers displayed by some police officers – they too hint at a wider problem.
