I hope we keep giving Lawler a chance to prove himself and settle in to a role in this offense. After the first Argo game he became somewhat of a polarizing figure around these parts but I like what he brings to the offense as an over the middle compliment to DA/Demski/Matthews.

I get if people don't like the NFL for whatever reason. I just don't get people who hate the fact people do like it.

I find it interesting though that MTL and OTT have the best percentages despite being middle of the pack - Ottawa's inconsistent play really shows thanks to their win against CAL. I might be letting my Lawler fan card speak for me but I think he's a starting receiver for the rest of the year. Whitehead to be more of a utility guy/returner when the dust settles. Still very much utilized tho

Lucky will return some kicks like he always does. Wouldn't surprise me to split receiving duties more and more as the season goes on. Im excited to see Lawler and Bailey both on the field at the same time. 2 of our up and comers

My sole reason for paying any attention to the NFL is to keep tabs on former or potential future CFL players (draft picks & neg list guys).

I did not watch any NFL at all last season - don't miss it. The most overrated league on the planet.

You can be a deep threat from anywhere..a lot of times more success with deep ball originates from receiver coming out of the slot position of field.

My kid's team won the 7v7 tournament at the stadium last weekend, so we got free tickets.

Went to The Grove pub on Grosvenor. Or just off Grosvenor...whatever. Burgers are really good, fries are great. I had the reuben, a little disappointed in it. Seemed just a smidge soggy because of too much sauerkraut. It was just missing that zing to it, probably because they didn't put any thousand island dressing on it. But other then that one flaw, I'd definitely recommend it.

I still watch some but its tough. The over exposure of the players on social media makes it hard. Especially combined with antics ranging from extremely douchey to awfully criminal (like tyreek hill) I still feel like the guys who play in the cfl are largely cut from a different cloth. A lot of these guys play because they want to play football. Id much rather watch college or even Junior college etc.

At first I thought maybe ZC was signing with the team that originally recruited him so he could retire there, but if there's a 2nd rounder involved, then TO is expecting him to play. That poor bastard. Legitimately concerned about his long term health...

This is really unfortunate. The chances of him doing permanent damage to himself (if it hasn't happened already) is so high that it's too bad that the league doesn't step in and say that he's not insurable so no contract will be allowed.

I can practically see the anticipation and excitement building for debut of 1st round pick Jonathan Kongbo. Winnipeg football fans love this kind of story, especially since it involves a Bomber player. I also can see possible marketing opportunity for the Winnipeg Football Club to take advantage of this excitement. Mini conga drums. Or rather, mini Kongbo drums, to add even more to the Winnipeg home game experience when we’re on Defence.

We are and do. We didnt have the appropriate game plan in place, and didnt execute. Worst of all we continually turned the ball over. Idk what the split is, but when you turn the ball over 5+ times the chances of winning are extremely slim. (I would guess in the 20-30% range) Week 16 we play them next. I hope this game sticks in the teams craw. I want to see the best and nastiest game this team has played under the canadian mafia. Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war.
