There was something extra special last season because it was the first time the jets made the playoffs with an actual good team. I feel like the obsession among fans isn’t as high this year.

Yup that’s true. I think a lot of people had blown their sports budget for awhile when the Bombers season started last year.

Normally, I'd call it a day and say something like "100 to Saskatchewan" or "50 to the Leafs, 50 to the Riders" but then I remember their insufferable fanbases combined with their awesome ability to have glorious self-implosions that result in me laughing at them makes me realize maybe I don't hate them so much after all. 100 to the Blues, especially Alex Steen because I really just don't like his face.

He should be a Jet one day.. Maybe 2 seasons away. Jets like their D minus Trouba to get some AHL time first. Hes solid in his own zone.. And does contribute offensively. Our RHD depth is looking ok with Poolman, if healthy hes a Jet next season, Kovacevic.. And Niku who can play both.. Samberg just won back to back frozen four championships and hes a solid player also. Jets young D depth looking good. Center depth issues tho.

I wouldn’t consider a guy like Gray as being last years backup. He was the most highly touted offensive lineman his draft year and then signed in the nfl. I was just as excited to have him when I thought Chung and Goosen were coming back as I am now. He will just start sooner than if we got everyone back. But eventually I expected him to be an upgrade over anyone we had as a Canadian on the offensive line.

Can't really blame them for that. The problem is that it's not a wealthy league and the league just had to take over a team to save jobs and a franchise. We all want the players to make more money. This is why I've been so supportive of the Global initiative which has the potential to significantly increase the salaries for all players in the CFL. Yes some tactics are being used and there were some pretty bad tactics used on players in the past. Just ask anyone who played for Cal! However, the league has never had a work stoppage and the league has survived and been able to pay players year after year after year. Unlike the AFF, XFL 1.0, USFL, Arena League ect ect.

Why do we have to pick sides I get both the leagues and players position no need to villafy(sec) either side.

I know it. I would be content to see Toronto get a second NHL franchise so that "average" fans could actually cheer on a home team in person, rather than watching on TV while corporate meetings go on in the 200 level. The only problem is we'd have to hear how much better T.O. is than everyone else because we can support 2 teams, and my hate would rise even more. It's a vicious cycle. This is why you can't have nice things to play with, Hogtown!

If Vince were to simply liquidate $350M (or whatever he's sold so far) of WWE shares that would cause a negative impact on the corporation. It might make investors nervous, devaluing WWE. Now, if Vince were to say liquidate that same stock with the express purpose of bankrolling the return of the XFL, that would cause less concern about the WWE. Investors may question Vince's decision but not be concerned about the Corp. So, what if Vince invests a modest amount of money into reviving the XFL but suddenly determines that it's not viable. Maybe that's been the play the whole time, taking his cash out of WWE and divesting it elsewhere because he knows the company is overvalued. The failure of the AAF would be a perfect cover. Tin foil hat back on securely.

Toronto may be a joke attendance wise but the GTA provides very solid CFL viewership numbers to TSN and is a big reason the rest of the CFL has the TV deal it does. Don't be fooled by attendance. People like the Argos and watch them in Toronto, you just won't get them to go to a game because their game day experience has been complete garbage for a long time.
