  11. As much as I like Roh, does he make the Bombers roster as a Rohtational player this year? Seems like the trend is to save some money. After signing Jeffcoat and Jefferson to big money, our 3rd DE may need to be a rookie.

The greatest lie ever told is that trickle down economics works. That is why the establishment has such a hate on for Ocasio Cortez. She care more about working class schmucks than the ultra rich.

  17. For those that don't know, in NHL circles, Dundon is generally regarded as a complete wing nut. He is the laughing stock of BOG meetings. He has outlandish ideas he wants the NHL to adopt to make the game "more exciting". Think choreographed dance performances after every goal. Mark my words within a few weeks the AAF players will be dancing. He already has the Hurricanes doing it.

  18. It would be stupid if he actually gave 250 million up front. He didn't do that, he bought the league on a 250 million dollar "commitment". All that means is if things go swimmingly he is willing to bankroll the league for awhile until it gets traction. Make no mistake, if the league continues to flounder he will get out LONG before he spends 250m on it. Dundon may be rolling the dice on this league in order to get his name on the list as a future NFL owner. IF he can turn this dog around it will get him noticed in football circles. If he can't he will be out of dodge faster than you can shake a stick and long before he spends 250m. At any rate, look for wholesale financial changes to this league in the near future. Dundon is going to clip expenses at an exponential rate after this season....maybe sooner.

  21. And don't play the "I am incapable of thinking for myself card". How about that? Did you read the information? Can you break through your inherent personal biases and just read something that people you have chosen to trust have told you you can't read? Stop giving in to Big Brother and think for yourself.

  23. This is really low and gross. People like you who are attacking those who defended someone why, by all accounts, was a victim come across as relishing in the fact it wasnt true. Like it never happens. What planet do you live on? How much joy do you take in the fact this idiot has hurt the cause for legitimate victims? Knock it off. Virtue-signalling. Good God. Defending victims of racist and homophobic attacks is virtue signalling? You know that sounds a lot like you support attacks based on those things, right? Super gross.

Why the one year deal then? I don't believe that for a second. Willie was pissy that Micah got more money than him here and that's why he turned down our offer and left. O'day valued Micah more and Willie didn't like it

  39. And last year he was 9 games for 553 yrds and 1 TD. I think the point most are making is its risky taking a guy coming off a knee injury like that and expecting 2016/2017 #s

This team needs better receivers, no doubt about it, but bemoaning Arceneaux to the Riders is foolish. They guy was looking pretty close to done even before he wrecked his knee. He will be a non-factor.

  42. I fully expect Streveler to take over at least midway this season, if not sooner.

  43. If we are talking QBs then what Strev has shown in his short time behind centre suggests he is a far better QB than Nichols....quicker decisions, better arm, better running, and spreads the ball around much better. However if you include the OC into the equation it may well be a different conversation. Many who have watched LAPO years ago see the same tendencies even today......he does not game plan for big strikes it’s all short and dump so he may well hinder what the QBs including Strev can and will do. With that said I totally agree from what I have seen Strev is a better QB and with some experience he will show he is a prototypes CFL QB. My hope is that both the OC and HC realize what they have....develop him and make sure he gets playing time so he doesn’t bolt to the NFL after this season. Make him feel wanted he seems like a real down to earth kid!

That's why Bo Levi is better than Nichols. Despite losing several of his top receivers, he had no problem adjusting and throwing to whoever was on the field. Nichols doesn't seem to be able to do that. If his leg injury is well healed, he should throw better next season.
    1 point
  45. That's just the make-up of the man though. Khari had that gunslinger mentality and I'm sure his OCs (at times) weren't too thrilled with some of those chuck and duck plays but couldn't fault the results. One real difference between Strevs and Nichols is how they spread the ball around. Streveler didn't lock into a single guy (or no single guy dominated targets - for the most part) .. Each game, whether by accident or design, Nichols seems to .. "forget" about certain players.

I didn't see very much change in play calling between Streveler and Nichols. I saw one qb being hesitant and dumping it off and the other qb making much quicker decisions and had the arm strength to "knife" it in to guys like Wolly and Thompkins. Far to much last season did we see Nichols struggle throwing balls around the 10 yard mark where a receiver would be in stride and could catch the ball and gather some YAC. From what I watched guys had to dive or go to the ground to make any catches giving them no chance to turning it up field. Streveler was light years better at throwing to guys in stride. I do agree though that we run way to many passes that suit Nichols where it's a quick dump off and hope that the guy can break a tackle and make it 10 yards. I'd like to see more plays that they used to do with Khari where he chucked it up and let the receivers either make or break the play.

As badly as I want us to get a big play reciever, at this point I’d be happy if we saved our cash for when Matthews is done waiting for the NFL or better yet if a Zylstra becomes available. I don’t want us to blow our load on a player like Manny, honestly I’d just sign Dressler cheap and go with three Canadian receivers to start the year if we can’t recruit an effective one. A guy like Simonise could end up being exactly what we need and he’s already on the team.
