remember when Walters went all in and spent like a drunken sailor on FAs... the people who complained about that are the same people who complain when he does nothing...

It easily can be traced to the number of our own free agents we re-signed. The Bombers built this roster and really didn’t want to take a chance on Free Agency to get what they wanted. Teams have choices on how to build a roster. I like the way we were prepared. We didn’t have to rely on outbidding to get some players. We already had them. That’s where we put our money.

Zach is back The Riders right on track Daddy left town and he ain't comin back. Took us for a ride on his big black bike, Dropped us in a corn maze in the middle of the night. Lankford was a Tier 2 scapegoat. Easily replaced. Nichols, Lapo, MOS, Walters are all Tier 1 scapegoats. We still have them.

Darren Bauming was just on am1290 and shared some interesting thoughts. - bombers are talking to Derel Walker but doesn’t think they will be willing to pay 275 to a receiver. - bombers will be in on Chris Ackie but he still is checking out some nfl opportunities. He said he may be someone the bombers go hard after on day 3 or 4 of free agency. - Chung is a good Canadian guard however he and at least half of the blue bombers media didn’t have him on their all star ballot. He was voted in by voters from the east who were basically just rewarding the bombers offensive line for being great overall. He believes of the two Goosen is the bigger loss. Bombers are high on Cody Speller and Couture probably has the inside edge at center. The wildcard at this point is Geoff Gray who has great tools and some nfl experience. Bauming believes Gray factors in more as a guard than tackle in the cfl but does have the ability to play tackle. - this year’s draft is defensive line heavy. He expects the bombers to draft a defensive lineman and an offensive lineman in the first round. But that could change a if a certain stud receiver or player at another position falls to 4.

My team had a terrible day no doubt but what worries me the most is I was really hoping the riders would make the retirement choice for Collaros. He clearly can't see the danger he is putting himself in. He is 30 years old and his brain has to be over half scrambled. There comes a time when the human becomes more important than a game. He's too young to risk what could happen and it will happen as you seen last year it doesn't even have to happen from a dirty hit, it can be as simple as a tackle were his head bounces off the turf and prediction that could happen as soon as pre season. I really hoped he was going to walk away passion and fire to play or not.

Only speaking to his numbers as if that's the end all be all to show his talents. You're right, he didn't put up big numbers as our #4 option. Guess what, our #1 option didn't either. The only thing Thompkins could do was catch the ball when it was thrown his way. He did. Damn near every time. He was also a fantastic blocking for the leagues #1 rusher. I'm not opposed to replacing him. I'm opposed to shitting on a guy for doing his job as a #4 option.

When I look at our qb situation compared to Saskatchewan, Toronto, Ottawa & Montreal I'm damned grateful as a fan that we have Matt Nichols. You can't tell me those teams wouldn't be willing to throw cash at him if he was a FA. We're fortunate to have him as our starter.

We signed more of our own free agents than anyone else. You know who else didn't make many big splashes other than re-signing their own players? Calgary. You know why that is? The teams that have had success prioritize keeping their own pieces rather than raiding other teams. The BCs and Edmontons of the world who weren't as successful made big changes to try and catch up. Always happens. The crappier teams generally make more moves.

I'm surprised I'm saying this, but I kind of feel bad for the Riders. Wallowing around without a QB for years is exactly what made us unwatchable all those years and that's exactly where they are right now. They're truly truly f^#*@d

When was Sask ever a premier free agent destination? Cannot recall in my lifetime a player the caliber of BLM or Reilly signing there. They’ve always been picking QB’s from the middle tier and below.

Demski needs to be more like Harris and run through people more often instead of trying to run around them all the time. He does that he'll be a great player in this league. He keeps trying to outrun everyone all the time he will always leave you wanting a bit more. Good player, but needs to toughen up to be a great player.
