  3. I think Hodge's "sources" are sitting back having a good chuckle over how gullible he is right now. No safety in our league past or present is worth 200k per. It's just an unrealistic number and to me sounds completely fabricated. Let's not forget that this is the same guy whose 'sources" told him we were going to fire Richie Hall last offseason, that we would not re-sign Stanley Bryant, that we were hot and heavy after Bakari Grant and JC Sherritt last year, among other whoppers. He is a high school teacher in Neepawa with a blog and a penchant for making stuff up. Nothing more.

  4. If that were true, then Randle & Wild would still be here. The coaches obviously see value in Lankford that you don't but you're not privy to the same info they are. FTR, I'm not a fan of Lankford by any stretch but I'm also not a fan of benching/cutting a guy if you don't have someone better to replace them. The coaches know what they have better than any of us, so I'll defer to their judgement while still realizing that they are human and can/have/will be wrong at times.

  5. Randles post/thank you to MOS really drives home the relationship aspect that takes place between MOS and the players. How many times have you seen a player discuss a HC like that AFTER they were cut? I don't think I've ever seen it before.

  6. Over $3B annually seems like pretty significant subsidization to me. The flare-ups in this thread every now and then are pretty hilarious. It always seems like the same two playing dildo's advocate and then getting their man-diapers all twisted up, too.

  7. Now I remember why I blocked you. Personal attack, followed by "fake news", followed by conspiracy to defraud, followed by linguistic gymnastics, followed by bogus bogus. Really, how can scientists compete?

  9. Deferring to their decision doesn't mean you have to like it or agree with it. They have been been wrong in the past and will be again in the future, that's life. Deferring just means that you accept that they've made their decision (for whatever reason). Given that Lankford only played in 4 games this past year (and 1 game was as a kicker), I'm not sure why you keep bringing him up. They thought he had starter potential, it didn't work so now he's, at best, a back-up player. He knows the playbook and can fill multiple roles though so unless a replacement could do the same, it's not hard to see why they would keep him around.

  10. Hodge sucks. He talks in grand terms and it is extremely clear he has no clue what he's talking about. I'll follow any Blue Bomber related twitter account that shares content but he clearly thinks the world of himself.

  12. I lol'd too hard at this... I hope to god that isn't your autocorrect! lol first off, let's check out your post : personal attack, unsubstantiate hyperbolic assumption, twisted man-diapers. Syria. Really. https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/climate-change-hastened-the-syrian-war/ I think he was implying that you were wearing the man-diapers.

  13. There are several hundred billion dollars of cleanup costs for abandoned oil wells in Alberta. There are no deposits when the company goes out of business to cover these. The Provincial and Federal government will be paying these. That's a subsidy. A big one. The idea that it isn't cause it doesn't show up on a financial statement is laughable. There are numerous examples of this. Poisoned rivers, and lakes, increased cancer (see Indians that live near tar sands projects) lung disease..... the people that live near refinery operations in Texas have a much higher rate of cancer and birth defects. some people don't call those subsidies. But that's what they are. yeah, the insults are obnoxious, as is the superior attituode. The other guy starts a post "I'll keep this simple" They are incapable of posting with being insulting. Probably messaging each other about "triggering the libtards" blocking is good.

  14. I've said before that Loffler is a nice player and I'd like to see him in blue and gold next year.... but 200K is ludicrous... if that's his "starting point"... thanks for the years Taylor, good luck with your next team...

  15. Although I luv'd Lofflers play when he first arrived, I have to say his recent play is lacking...No more big hits and he's caught out of position too often...200 K ...if that's his ask and I were Walters I would pass...I don't know if this rumored figure is correct but if it is and he' sticks to it.....see ya later

  17. They make it tough tho.. We are doing an addition on our cabin this spring... We have been looking to go green a bit.. Use more enviro friendly wood and insulation and etc... Thing is... It costs almost double. So... For as much as they want ppl to use sustainable resources like green wood or bluewood or recycled wood or hemp insulstion or what they call blue jean insulation.. Making it affordable would help.

Heres the thing... If we can all do our part by recycling or not burning plastics and rubber and all sorts of things.. Maybe drive less if we can.. Don't need to always drive to the corner store... Why wouldn't we? Is global warming real? Yes without a doubt. Is it as dire as they make it seem? Prob not. But.. Thats really all irrelevant isnt it? If we can all make the planet a better place by doing simple things like recycling or not burning stupid ****.. Why wouldn't we?

  23. No GM in the league is stupid enough to pay Loffler 200. 150 would even be an overpay.

  24. Me thinks that Loffler is waaaayyyy over valuing himself...upwards of 200k for an extension??...see ya bud...money better spent elsewhere and safety isn't where you spend it...whoever pays that is nuts I guarantee you...if he is gone....you won't even know it or miss him...too many people here are way too enamored with his big hits a few years ago and look past a lot of his deficiencies..such as can't cover, or run with a receiver at all....always late to breaking up a pass as the deep safety...sure he lays a lick on a guy occasionally but who cares when they made the catch anyway..

  29. Interesting stuff. "Colonisation of the Americas at the end of the 15th Century killed so many people, it disturbed Earth's climate. That's the conclusion of scientists from University College London, UK. The team says the disruption that followed European settlement led to a huge swathe of abandoned agricultural land being reclaimed by fast-growing trees and other vegetation. This pulled down enough carbon dioxide (CO₂) from the atmosphere to eventually chill the planet." https://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-47063973?fbclid=IwAR042v7GsB61BR9hTX1Fe8jPoCHGblZIDJ_B1y2AP4vQYUYOmsKohhwf45I

  33. Svante Arrhenius (1859-1927) was a Swedish scientist that was the first to claim in 1896 that fossil fuel combustion may eventually result in enhanced global warming. He proposed a relation between atmospheric carbon dioxide concentrations and temperature. He found that the average surface temperature of the earth is about 15oC because of the infrared absorption capacity of water vapor and carbon dioxide. This is called the natural greenhouse effect. Arrhenius suggested a doubling of the CO2 concentration would lead to a 5oC temperature rise. He and Thomas Chamberlin calculated that human activities could warm the earth by adding carbon dioxide to the atmosphere.

  34. WINNIPEG — The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed international quarterback Bryan Schor and international receiver Garrett Johnson, the team announced on Wednesday. Schor (6’2, 215, James Madison University, March 24, 1995 in Milford, Pennsylvania) played four seasons for the James Madison Dukes, completing 559 passes for 7,078 yards and 62 touchdowns. During his time at JMU, Schor set career records for passing touchdowns, passing yards, completions and total offense. In 2017, Schor finished the season with 3,222 passing yards and 26 touchdowns in 15 games. Johnson (5’11, 175, University of Kentucky, December 3, 1995 in Winter Garden, FL.) played four seasons for the Kentucky Wildcats, finishing with 156 receptions for 2,095 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns. Johnson finished fourth in career receiving yards and fifth in receptions in the school’s history. In 2018, Johnson signed with the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent and spent the entire NFL pre-season with the club.

  37. O'shea has taken his fair share of criticisms over the years but it's undeniable that he's been instrumental in turning around the state and reputation of this franchise. We were the absolute laughingstock of the league and slowly but surely Walters and O'shea have turned the Bombers into one of the premiere destinations in the league and year in-year out contenders. I have no doubt that O'shea will win a grey cup as a head coach at some point. What I'm glad to see is that he didn't "learn" to do the job here and move on to Toronto to lead them. I'm 100% on board with O'shea's extension.

  43. 👁‍🗨Add Jeffcoat to the list of methodically good signings by our GM Kyle Walters. That’s 10 re-signs, tying the number of re-signs by Ottawa. Each of these 2 teams still have 21 players to make decisions on. Some big names on both lists..

that's in no way circumventing the cap...it's an off-season job, and smart thing to to include in the presser, as it shows potential free-agents that there is opportunity for off-season and or post career work in Winnipeg as it is a large city with major companies who have work potential...unlike a pisshole in the ground place like Regina where there is apparently zippo

  47. Love the move, but pairing the announcement with announcing Bighill will be working as an investment advisor on the side seems strange. Open flaunting they found a way around the cap? Slap in the face to talk about not being able to find work in Regina in the off season? Agreement with the investment firm that it would be included in the press release?

  48. This is one of the funniest things I've read on here in a long time... And I pray Bighill or his agent doesn't see it... I don't think we've had an FA as important as Bighill in years and years around these parts....
