  2. Randles post/thank you to MOS really drives home the relationship aspect that takes place between MOS and the players. How many times have you seen a player discuss a HC like that AFTER they were cut? I don't think I've ever seen it before.

  5. Mainly because Tsonis is not an independent researcher at all, he's a member of the Global Warming Policy Foundation which is linked by donations from the Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA), which takes funding from fossil fuel companies and has argued against climate change mitigation for more than a decade. Tough to get rich as a climate scientist, shilling for oil companies helps put bread in the pockets and pork on the table....but I guess Pigseye wouldn't know anything about that agenda. I figured out the connections in under 3 mins., do you honestly believe you will deceive people into accepting the articles you provide as evidence when they are presented by paid researchers working on behalf of special interest groups? Do you actually believe your own **** or are you just putting us on like KBF?

  6. Yeah Lankford is the wrong hill to die on. Not like any of the other receivers really lit it up and when they are all underwhelming the versatile guy usually gets more work.

  7. If that were true, then Randle & Wild would still be here. The coaches obviously see value in Lankford that you don't but you're not privy to the same info they are. FTR, I'm not a fan of Lankford by any stretch but I'm also not a fan of benching/cutting a guy if you don't have someone better to replace them. The coaches know what they have better than any of us, so I'll defer to their judgement while still realizing that they are human and can/have/will be wrong at times.

  9. It's too bad that Goossen is going back to BC. He's a wonderful ambassador for the Stop The Violence and it would have been great to keep him in the community. But, he's going home, so it makes sense.

  12. Hodge sucks. He talks in grand terms and it is extremely clear he has no clue what he's talking about. I'll follow any Blue Bomber related twitter account that shares content but he clearly thinks the world of himself.

  18. And fans here have the audacity to blame every goal or loss on him when he's in net. The Jets' defensive zone play has taken a significant step back this season. They better shore up that crap soon. Hopefully, #33 is back on Thursday.

They should. I’f it’s legit. I’m guessing they released a statement to avoid it becoming a story. They might lob him out but it would make sense to send him home. I got the impression from raw that they might have been leaning towards dean vs hunter at WM

Thanks. Took me three minutes too. This scientist he cites, recently said/wrote that the world is going into a cold phase. The planet just had the four hottest years since record keeping began. Pigseye contributes less than nothing. problem is, somebody might think he knows something.

  23. I suspect that this was what would be called a prophylactic or preventative measure on Goossen's part. If he really wants to be a police officer and buggers up a knee, elbow back or shoulder, that career is no longer an option. Sound logic, in my eyes. Better to jump before you are pushed. That way you can choose your landing spot.

  26. Svante Arrhenius (1859-1927) was a Swedish scientist that was the first to claim in 1896 that fossil fuel combustion may eventually result in enhanced global warming. He proposed a relation between atmospheric carbon dioxide concentrations and temperature. He found that the average surface temperature of the earth is about 15oC because of the infrared absorption capacity of water vapor and carbon dioxide. This is called the natural greenhouse effect. Arrhenius suggested a doubling of the CO2 concentration would lead to a 5oC temperature rise. He and Thomas Chamberlin calculated that human activities could warm the earth by adding carbon dioxide to the atmosphere.

In regards to Goalie's rant... I was a massive wrestling fan in the 80's and during the late 90's early 2000's. Outside of the guys who are old as dirt (Kurt Angle, Kane, Big Show , HHH etc...) I wouldn't be able to name more then maybe 5 guys on the WWE roster. I have zero idea on who is big and who is not. I will assume that AEW will be trying to attract a new audience and not trying to steal fans away from the WWE product. So for me if the product is entertaining and not focused on 12 year old boys ... I don't care who is wrestling I will be tuning in for the show. It reminds me of back in the mid 90's when ECW started getting popular... I had no idea who most of the stars were (despite many being WWE rejects) but the show itself won me over and it was much watch wrestling for me.

  29. WINNIPEG — The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed international quarterback Bryan Schor and international receiver Garrett Johnson, the team announced on Wednesday. Schor (6’2, 215, James Madison University, March 24, 1995 in Milford, Pennsylvania) played four seasons for the James Madison Dukes, completing 559 passes for 7,078 yards and 62 touchdowns. During his time at JMU, Schor set career records for passing touchdowns, passing yards, completions and total offense. In 2017, Schor finished the season with 3,222 passing yards and 26 touchdowns in 15 games. Johnson (5’11, 175, University of Kentucky, December 3, 1995 in Winter Garden, FL.) played four seasons for the Kentucky Wildcats, finishing with 156 receptions for 2,095 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns. Johnson finished fourth in career receiving yards and fifth in receptions in the school’s history. In 2018, Johnson signed with the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent and spent the entire NFL pre-season with the club.

  30. I think Lankford's value lies in his versatility- he can do a lot. Plus IIRC, he does know all the receiver positions and can plug into any position there- I don't think any other receiver has that versatility. I feel that he is a jack-of-all-trades player and not a specialist.

  31. agreed...hardly connected with any real inside sources...I think he just tosses a lot of "could happen" rumours out there and hopes one will come to fruition here and there and make him look credible That's how Gary Lawless made his career! Maybe Hodge is trying to land a gig in Vegas too!

  32. There's the good and the bad with O'Shea. The players clearly love and respect him, even when he cuts them or leaves them off the gameday roster. The downside is, with that love comes loyalty to players that often don't deserve it. Ultimately, if that reputation allows us to bring in more great players and leads to a Grey Cup, it's worth it. But it's frustrating as all hell to see guys like Lankford keep getting opportunities.

    Bomber News: 2019 Off Season

I know I’d rather him part ways amicably (he handled this professionally), and that this is a better move for him in the long term (especially if he’s fallen out of love with the game), but darn, this was a second overall pick who just hit his prime. this is pretty awful news from a team perspective.

Hellebuyck will never win a Stanley Cup. Overrated. This season proves he can't win. Big contract & even more soft goals go in.

  39. Im kind of surprised this if this was a financial decision. The guy played 3 years for peanuts compared to what he could get in the open market this season in the CFL. Just seems strange unless its health related.

I mean ... really? You think this is salary cap related? He's most certainly taking a pay cut to do this. He's just planning for a career that has a longer term outlook than football and props to him for it.

  42. Agreed. Anything that is not legitimate needs to be ruthlessly eliminated. Eg. recycling programs that don't really recycle; 'organic' food imported from Asia; Electric cars in areas where electricity is generated from coal; etc. etc. Things that look good on the surface but really accomplish nothing.
