  1. Fans - winnipeg fans with the personal hygiene advantage for sure uncalled holding - riders dominate this stat - for years now beer can throwing - advantage riders criminal records - again riders have this locked down horseshoes - the helmet bounce in the stamps game also seals this stat for the riders Boredom - again with so little to do in Regina the riders can focus on football - see ed gainey gonna be a tough game for the bombers - the stats say it all - I’d say we only have a 78% chance of winning the grey cup

  9. I think that detailed position by position analysis breaks down when it comes to the Riders. They win games they have absolutely no business winning, and that makes them dangerous. Seriously, a 12-6 record from a team with a busted Collaros and the erratic semi-talent Brandon Bridge at QB? And with Canadian depth that looks like the 2013 Bombers? No denying that Chris Jones made some chicken salad in Regina this year. GO CFL

Blocking is a huge part of kick returns. Pretty confident there's not many of us here that would trade places with Kevin and try to field punts. Personally, I like what he does on punt return...he catches the ball, makes the first guy or two miss virtually every time, and gets what he can. I think this whole thread is barking up the wrong tree.

  11. Masoli shouldn't get rewarded for stats he put up against sub-.500 teams, and playing the Argos 3 times. Threw almost half his TD passes vs the Argos. His stats against playoff teams are not good. It would be embarrassing for the league if he's MOP.

  14. So here are some interesting numbers over the each teams last 5 games comparing us vs Sask. Wpg vs Calgary 29-21 off a bye week and controlled 3/4 of the game. Wpg vs Sask 31-0 dominated, period Wpg vs Ottawa 40-32 dominated, but almost let it get away. Wpg vs Edmonton 30-3 dominated. Wpg vs Montreal 31-14 dominated. We outscored our opponents 161- 70 Now the inbreeders... Sask vs BC 35-16 defense dominated by Sask Sask vs Calgary 29-24 held on to win Sask vs Wpg blown out 0-31 Sask vs Edm 19-12 slugfest and managed to squeak out a win. Sask vs Montreal 34-29 barely beat one of the weakest teams in the league. Sask has outscore their opponents 117-112. Every team Sask has beat, we have beat better or worse! We are destroying teams they barely beat. I'm so sick of TSN and the CFL websites talking about how good Sask is... They really do have a horseshoe up their arses, that's for sure. Even the 2 times they beat us, 1 play our way and the outcomes are different. I'm truly not scared of these Hillbillies! I'll be cheering for Calgary this weekend so we through Mosiac for the semi and shut their faces once and for all! TSN will probably still have the Riders higher on the power rankings after we beat their a**es in the playoffs! We have seen that any team can beat anyone else this year, but here are my power rankings based on recent play and momentum: Wpg 5-0 Multi-dimensional offense, lights out defense, we can lay the beatdown on anyone in the league. Ottawa 3-2 ( Great Offense, very capable defense, Officiating always goes their way. Case in point last time we played them). Sask 4-1 ( Dominant D, horrible offense, horseshoes up their a$$es and the refs never call penalties on them except for make up Bull$hit meaningless ones to even out the game ). Bc 3-2 ( Normally potent Offense and tough D, I think had an off game against Sask. Will play with anyone in the league when they are "on"). Hamilton 2-3 (have potential to be contender but really missing speedy B and defense is Meh at best). Calgary 2-3 (last 2 wins were against Toronto and Montreal...Nuff said). Playoffs will be Semi Wpg @ Sask Winnipeg wins Bc @ Hamilton Bc wins Finals Wpg @ Calgary Wpg wins BC at Ottawa Ottawa wins Grey Cup Wpg VS Ottawa- Damn straight Wpg wins!!!! Whoot Whoot Go BLUE! ii

  17. I will find out later today but, I am hoping my local American Legion Post (2 miles from the house here in Belen, New Mexico) gets ESPN2. That is the channel that will run the Western Semi Finals. And it will also run the Grey Cup later on - FYI. If my Post has that channel, I am throwing a party. It will be a novelty for the NFL fans there to see a CFL game. I'll bring food and host a blue and gold party. 😉 GO BOMBERS!

  22. Well I think this sounds like a perfect plan. Depending on the results Nov 11, you should very much come in for the western final (and Grey Cup)! Let me know if you decide to make the get away a reality! Thanks for the info, I'll look into this as well. The key for me is that I'd really like to watch the games with other fans. It'll be very odd watching such important games alone. If we actually win the cup and I'm not home for the parade, that'll kill me.

  24. Even with a fully healthy team they still would not be favoured to win against us. I hate using the lucky argument but outside of some solid performances of the defense... they really have not dominated on O and ST in any of the games....
    1 point
  25. Not really, you were implying that it would be injuries holding the Riders back. The reason the Riders are held back is because they don't have an offense. You don't win Grey Cups without one facet of a team. Your team is smoke and mirrors, just accept that fact and it will be a lot less painful when the Bombers kick your ass in the playoffs and send you all back to your hovels to cry all winter long.

  26. The best thing in our four game win streak is that we beat the three teams in the west at the time that were the most threatning. And not only that we schooled them. We effectively ended Edmonton’s playoff run, we curb stomped Saskatchewan, and we made Calgary look vulnerable.

Reminder that the former Stats Can CEO resigned in 2016 after the Liberals took power over concerns about the autonomy of the department. https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/statscan-wayne-smith-resigns-1.3765765 Granted this article and his resignation was about IT infrastructure at the time, but if Stats Can is going to be collecting this level of detail of data and be put on servers that are not entirely in their control, every Canadian should have huge concerns over this. Even if Stats Can had a valid reason to collect this banking information (I don't believe the data they will be able to provide from it justifies the need to do this), there is no reason for them to collect SIN, address, and identifiable information along with it. Having this information anonymized at source and reconciled to Postal Code should be more then sufficient for what they need. Have to ask what the real motivation is here. This is absolutely ridiculous and an invasion of citizen privacy that is usually reserved for Communist or Dictatorship regimes.

Exactly, if all you doing is trashing your opponent then people will eventually tune out. At some point, you have to better ideas/candidates or no one is going to take you serious. Hard to believe this is lost on some people, probably too young to know any better still.

  31. Riders gave up 25 TD's via the pass..Winnipeg gave up 14...how does that make your DB's better? you have 21 picks to our 19 with a game in hand...and about 4 or 5 have been gift flukes from lineman (Hughes 1..Jefferson..2..Antigah 2) and yes any time a lineman gets a pick it's a lucky fluke or a bone head play...unless they drop off 15 yards into the secondary

Hard to do anything with a punt return when the first thing you see when you look up field are 4 jerseys that don't belong to your team. Fogg can make people miss, but not 4 at once, all the time. The blocking has been complete **** on punt returns this year for some reason.

False narrative. Between defense and special teams the Bombers continue to have the best starting field position in the league, and have since 2016. The offense has started more often on the opposition side of the field than any other team. A huge reason for the number in the “PF” column. And Fogg has a huge role in this for his return work and the turnovers he creates on D.

    Fogg

Fogg to me has been better this year on D than he ever has. Not perfect, but he’s been adequate. The real concern is on returns because his best quality has always been not letting punts hit the turf. If he’s not doing that, his crummy returns become more of a problem.
