  1. JT is everything that's wrong with the Bombers. On any other team, he'd have been cut long ago.

  2. But that highlights the biggest issue with the team... poor roster usage and management.

  3. The Blue can dress Jake Thomas up like Homer and do skits where everyone on this board is Grimes being baffled at how JT still has his job.

  5. Jake isn’t the biggest issue with the team as kolo and some others probably factor more into crap play on the field but yes he’s the example of poor roster management. Was it 2018 he was cut? 7 years later he’s starting. That’s just ****** up.

  6. Why would anyone have any sympathy, empathy or compassion for a man with the history Chad Kelly has? The Toronto incident isn't the first documented case of him being a shitty human being. Mitchell on the other hand doesn't have that same documented history. On it's surface, it seems like something from out of left field which is why people are willing to give him some grace. That's not excusing or accepting the behaviour, it's simply acknowledging that humans do stupid things at times whether it's from ignorance, inexperience or stress. It feels very much like a dude who needs help so comparing Mitchell's situation to Kelly's is ******* absurd.

  7. How much juice did he have in 2018 when we tried to walk away from him? The fact that it's now 2025 and we're still talking about him and he's still playing that kind of a role, is a huge fail for this team.

  8. I heard the Bombers had a contest to redo the jerseys and JT won by adding racing stripes to the helmets. MOS was quite impressed.

  9. In my work I came accros people who had every advantage and ability, yet chose to screw up their lives, and those who would have reason to lay down and let life run over them, but picked themselves up and made a good life. Past a certain point, no matter your past, your life is dtermined by your choices.

  12. He was a very good rotational piece in his time. But yes, every one playing beside guys like stove, drake, prime wj/jj was gonna shine. Sad that iirc stove still hasn't turned 30. And his career is basically a season and a half of utter dominance. Hasn't seen the field since 21 here. He was such a monster when he came back from injury in that stretch run. Really crazy to think that JJ, Stove, and Kongbo all peaked here in 21 at a pretty young age. Then WJ and Jake drag them selves on and on playing as a shell of their former self.

  15. No one here is willing to forgive Chad Kelly for what he did. He's been called every name under the sun that is allowed by posters here for sexually harrassing a young woman at work. No forgiveness there. But let some idiot player like Mitchell who was probably high on some kind of drug get behind the wheel of his car driving erratically at high speeds trying to kill himself & others. Now, suddenly he's a "young man who hopefully gets the help he needs". Sorry, I don't buy it because I never saw one word of kindness towards Chad Kelly. I'm not sticking up for Kelly. I just am stating no one here was willing to say he needed help. The help that Mitchell needs is to spend the next few years in the slammer thinking about the life he threw away.

  24. Soooo if someone has only murdered one person and another person has been arrested twice for shoplifting... does that mean the shoplifter is a more damaged individual? Also for guys like Mitchell.... one incident that we are aware of and who knows how many times he's done stupid **** without being caught. Usually trouble follows people who cause it. This isn't a red light camera or an oopsie of not stopping at a stop sign and getting caught. The guy is a bum / was a bum and sucked as a player so moving forward the club shouldn't be employing questionable character guys unless they are at such a level that you can tolerate the prima donna behaviour because they can be elite on the field (see: Kenny Lawler).

  26. Next time I slip up, I'm going to use that word, i.e., 'Damn, I'm such a chucklefuck, sorry about that.' I like it, fits me like a glove. 🙂

  27. I'm currently re-watching the 2019 GC game. And JT was pretty effective, even blowing up Banks on a sweep. But he also had tremendous help around him. Side note - Suitor kept complementing Collaros on a few passes that were very clearly badly thrown. lol. Lawler and Demski both had at least a step on their defender on a corner route and both had to stop and come back to an underthrown ball and make great catches. Which just drives home the fact that Collaros has only ever been as good as the guys around him in his time here.

  30. Wellyeah. It's like family- if they are part of your family you are more forgiving and have more empathy and patience... double standard sure, but totally natural. Also, using riders is an extreme example- default mode for those chucklefucks is deep deep disdain.

  31. No .. I'm looking at two different situations dispassionately and see one man with a documented history of bullshit and the other doing something completely out of character. It's not the same thing.

  32. It is EXTREMELY hyperbolic to say that Jake Thomas is EVERYTHING that's wrong with this team.... The only issue with Jake the past two years is that they gave him Prime Doug Brown snaps. Used sparingly, it would have been fine and far less glaring. He just doesn't have that much juice anymore. Going forward, if much prefer to see Cam Lawson and Tanner Schmeckel if we're going to carry NI DL...

  33. People can laugh all they want at this with a wave of their hand but this is bang on. Obviously it does not mean that our 39th best player who plays nose is the main reason for our downturn. It's silly and misguided to interpret it that way. Don't think specific player, think mindset and approach using a specific example. E.g., roster management, recruiting, playcalling, loyalty versus onfield performance etc etc etc. MOS has confirmed all of this needs improvement/course correction to get us back to the top.

  34. If Mitchell was playing for the Riders the tune would be different. The same thing happened after Lawler was suspended for his DUI and a few people on here gave him the pass. Lots of double standards.

  35. This has mental health issues written in capital letters for Mitchell. Similar to the cowboys player a few weeks ago but no suicide. Almost exactly the same actually

  36. Okay sure his behaviour is inexcusable but for societies sake and his I hope he can turn it around. I don’t have sympathy for him, it’s more empathy than anything. In this case understanding his situation and hoping he can turn it around but not agreeing with his current behaviour.

  44. Here comes my nice comment about the mafia for the year. I’d rather see us be bad, with jake/kola and the rest of mos old boys club and roster management, than see the likes of kelly or chris jones running a team with a bunch of guys who are dirty on the field and bad off it.

  45. Not silly at all, I would think it will certainly make the transition easier for imp rookies. They aren’t the biggest differences, but they are odd for americans. I wonder how big the transition will be for established guys though. No joke. Ufl Ds really struggle not having the cohesion of units that have been together for a time. A lot of the good D in the spring leagues looks like that. Tbh it starts out like that here, but our season is long and we have enough hold overs to get past it. The spring leagues never reach that point imo. Farhan now reporting he’d be shocked if hogan was back as oc for us next year. Day keeps getting better.
