  1. MOS and KW have both fallen short the past few years. I've said it multiple times and so have others.

  2. I think the issue is that we are going on 3 years of waiting for O'Shea to correct his mistakes and it feels like he is doubling down on them instead. I'm perfectly ok with giving him more time with us, but I'm heavily skeptical because we have trended downwards over this time with no signs of change.

  3. No, he doesn't. He brings in talent but has no say in game day roster or who the head coach decides to keep. What you're describing is the hallmark of a dysfunctional organization. One of the reasons we've been so successful over the last decade is that each of Miller, Walters and O'Shea have stayed in their lanes and allowed each to do the job they've been hired for. We can question whether or not Walters acted prudently with respect to our pending free agents or if he did enough to fill roster needs. We can question whether or not Walters held O'Shea accountable for his decisions over the course of a season. We can question O'Shea's in game management and roster make-up but to suggest that a GM is going to unilaterally release players without input from the coaching staff is ******* absurd.

  4. Milanovich hasn't won a playoff game in his past six seasons as a CFL head coach. He's got a terrible relationship with a lot of his players. Very up and down, kind of personality that is not direct, cold and passive aggressive. Not really on my list if you want to win. I really think he's suited to running a QB room and really looks at the rest of the role leading a team with disgust. But he's got the same issues in that role too with the human side of the job.

  5. I think the OL isn't as far gone as some think. Better scheme and better centre I think go a long long way to making them a respectable group.

  6. I’d keep Brady cuz basically you’re sending the wrong message to 32000 people if you let Brady and Demski walk after you let Kenny walk the season prior and in this scenario, O’Shea walking this year. I mean I dunno, I think the local guys are worth it. Our Canadian talent needs to be improved. You ain’t doing that letting your 2 best walk. 32000 might become 25 26 pretty quickly.

  7. Look I love Mike oshea and everything he has done for this team.... but if you can't recognize that he has had roster construction and usage issues from the get go then I don't know what to tell you... it put him on the hot seat prior to winning in 2019! We've seen Kyle Walters be a very active and pragmatic GM before so I have a really hard time believing that he's just changed so much that he can't be that guy anymore. Maybe he's lost his fire too, but from my perspective it appears that Oshea has a hell of a lot of input and Walters is just giving Oshea what he wants.

  8. You really believe a stubborn hard-headed guy like O'Shea is all of a sudden going to stop playing favorites, stop his blind vet loyalty, stop creating braindead gameday rosters, stop his piss-poor in game management/decisions, etc, etc?!?! Not a chance.

  9. Jake+Kolo+Hogan in Toronto with MOS would make many of us chuckle.

  10. I also think the belief that Osh would leave and not take any of his guys with him is not very realistic. Biggie is also not likely to happen as he has been very clear about not coaching when he's done. He's going to be all about his family when he hangs them up.

  11. It varies a lot, especially mid-season. A GM will have much less impact on the roster mid-season than in the off-season. I agree, Walters should have a short leash. Any of the mafia who return should. The house from 10 years ago HAS been cleaned. Only Mos and Walters remain. Everybody else is gone. The house from 4-5 years ago is sparse as well. What happened 3+ years ago, has no deciding factor in what happens next year. Shelf lifes are extremely short in sports and even more so in football. 5-10 years is ancient times at the speed football moves. Dave Ritchie's entire era here was part of 5 and 1/3 seasons. If you line up the competitive parts of the time here for Ritchie, Lapo, and Dunnigan you'd still be short of 10 years. The mafia having been here 10 years doesn't make it more likely that next year will be competitive, it makes it drastically more likely that things will fall apart more and it will end sooner. yeah, Mueller is not even close to stepping up to a HC job. Realistically no HC is coming in with a bunch of guys from out side his selection as a coach. Maybe 1 or 2 top of the line guys like JY and Marty, but thats it. I also don't see strevy as a RB coach, and I don't think Biggie would come back this soon to coach.

  13. DL and WR, you can rebuild quickly with money. OL is as much alchemy as anything. You need the right guys in the right positions, and you need to give them time.

  14. Our OL, DL, WRs need serious work. That seems like we're leaning into full rebuild.

  15. sorry that you cant grasp I have player relations outside the norm and you just act like a petulant child about it...and going off some "media" sound bite or speculation...is prob the lamest way to interpret "inside" the room or player thoughts...but just be you....Yiu the man and are never wrong.... correct....No G.M worth a used jock will want to walk into a organization where he is forced a staff upon him...85 to 95% of time a G.M is etained and a HC change occurs...less upheaval organization wise and easiest to correct....if the following yr same issues occur...then he is gone...If both arent canned it is usually always the HC...and or Co-Ords first...well in well ran organizations...and we can all agree we have become the benchmark in well ran....up until recent, but is it a HC issue...or overall?...the smart money says it's HC and this is the time to move....if we re-up and he still coaches like a stubborn brain dead guy looking at 2019...then we just handcuff ourselves further into the wandering in the drakness on the hook for his salary and killing our coaching cap you have to remember...GCn20 is either Osh's mom...Wife...whoever....but he will fall on the knife of Osh is da bomb and it;s everything and everyone elses fault...even tho Osh picks the roster...chooses who dresses and gets major reps, and refuses to use beneficial rules...chooses to play injured guys....uses excessive Canadians when not needed, and when they not better than an import... well kinda...Walters has no say or input on the game day roster...plan....etc...basically anything really once camp breaks....and that's what you want....A meddling G.M is a disfunctional organization...That being said tho...should he have maybe had a few "discussions"?? hell ya, because Osh has basically driven the team right into the dirt

  16. I think mos in torontos targets would include kramdi, gauthier, hallett, cody, strev and maybe a vet or two we’d cut. I don’t think he’d go full hamilton on our cuts. I’d send him a very nice thank you note at the very least

  17. So what kind of specific corrections are you looking for? Has anyone asked MOS what he needs to get better at as a Head Coach, what corrections he needs to make heading into 2026? What do you think he’d say? Do you think his public answers would be different than his behind closed door ones? This is what I would be interested in knowing we wouldn’t get access to the complete answer or what he’s really thinking.

  18. No, his team (NJ Generals) was not part of the USFL/XFL? He's on the College Football Playoff Selection Committee and is helping Oregon State look for their next HC which sounds like things to keep busy with in retirement.

  20. We should have a Poll on this thread. Personally, I think Mos goes. This has always been the job, especially working under pinball and with more control. We have all known that from the day he was hired. I think Walters stays, and Wade continues for the time being. I've never thought Wade would keep this role for 15+ years. Wade should maybe make a call to Buono for his legendary referral services... He's been involved in probably half of the franchise turn overs since he retired.

  21. He does a great job on Handled Internally... No surprise at all that he's doing this. He'll be awesome.

  22. Yeah...that was part too...but also...he wasn't happy...was a big loss...u think a new young up and comer would say the other part in media...not happening Yes..in not so many words...and so he left

  23. We come in with a new HC...with a vision and willing to let best players play...and spots be earned...we won't lose anyone we want/need to keep We stand pat and continue as we have ladt 2 yrs...expect many a defection..and piss poor FA period

  25. But if given total control basically...he'd have no pushback to deal with He was given too much here..and killed us and created rifts with his room and with scouting...There a reason Penn left here...why work your butt off all offseason for nothing...Ted offered him similar role and off he went

  26. Even out side of FA, bc swung a deal last year involving an elite imp T. He said She said. I would not be surprised at all if Walters and Mos came to be at significant odds with the roster. Especially when you look at guys going from favorites to released/un signed like the marine.

  27. The last update on Manu was Nov 5th where Campbell said he didn't see him starting in the next week or two. He's eligible to return on Sunday but he hasn't practiced so that's not happening.

  28. I don't think stud OL are super rare in FA and the Bombers have been on both sides of it. We picked up arguably the greatest OL in CFL history through FA and we've lost a number of really good ones over the last few years.

  30. Do you mean what you hear from people in the know? Or do you mean your read on the situation?

  31. Thing is, we have an Ol by committe as it is. Vanterpool was likely our most outstanding ol, but in limited reps because we didn't want to flip the ratio at G. Lofton was penned in as a starter but missed much of the season after starting much of last year. Rando was our most reliable guy, and like booch said he's likely an all start level T on a decent unit. Neufs biggest issue is health, he will play hurt even when he really shouldn't. I really like Wallace and his upside, but he wasn't where we needed the G play to be this year. Bryant could do with a kick inside imo, and then we have the guy who isn't Kolafied to be on a CFL ar. Plus the super sub who won't be started at C but cant play G in Eli. We need to upgrade our OL play and not by a small margin, and we need to clear out the glutt of bodies. Which means we likely need to clear out 3 or more of those guys, with the young guys being the least desirable to get rid of. I think adding 1 impact starter, and moving guys around will go a very long way for us.

  33. If Osh leaves for the Argos look for Jake Thomas to call it quits & maybe even Kolankowski. Although the Bombers just may not renew their contracts. That would be funny if Thomas surfaces in Toronto. I'm almost gleeful with anticipation.

  34. Just accept, you're getting GM/HC/OC Paul Lapolice. I would ask him about it on Twitter but he blocked me like a decade ago for chirping him. He and his wife both had thin skin

  36. I would LOoove to see mos give an honest assessment of what he needs done to the roster, from his coaching staff and what he needs to do better. But I think all we’d get publicly is a no changes needed we know what we need to fix and it’s easy. Like we did last year.

  37. I also like the wall between gm/hc over all. But with the limitations of the cap and coaching roster, I think a lot of guys need to do double duty. I think having a hc / agm working with a gm / sdpp(or president) and using that pay to slot in more scouting especially with in the cfl offers a gigantic advantage. That is a damn good point! If we keep JY, maybe as an ast hc, I think he would be an upgrade to mos. With out walters, down grade imo. You know mos was the hc here before 2017 right? The 3 previous seasons to that even. 3 blown gcs, 2 years of heavy under performance due to the roster, Mos and our success are not mutually inclusive by any means. Why not give another strawman a chance?

  38. Milanovich is his own OC, correct? That's be an upgrade over Hogan.

  39. I like separation of power. With the admin cap, it just sets teams up to keep deadwood right thru to the end of their contracts as what happened in Edmonton & Ottawa. As in Jones with the Elks & Dyce in Ottawa. That damned cap needs to go. I like Jarious Jackson a lot better. An offensive coach with experience being with other teams under different head coaches. He's an outsider & I like that.

  40. If mos is gone, it’s hard to predict if we go with a rehash or go to an up and comer. The options aren’t amazing, especially for established hcs. Any thing could happen.

  41. There are approximately 50 posts about this so far.... Most logical answer so far is JY, if for no other reason than to keep him from jumping to TO as Osh's DC. Every single team in the league, with the exception of Ottawa, would toss their guy for Osh if he said he'd come there....

  43. Miller made two hall of fame hires and that's really all he's had to do on the football operations side so far. He could bat .500 and we could still end up in a mess. It's hard to build a staff. It was hard for O'Shea who is a hall of fame player and now a hall of fame coach. Obviously WFC is much less of a **** show than it was, but different people will have different draw in terms of their ability to build out both personnel and coaching side. How does Miller know if he made the right hire/hire(s) or not? He was patient with Walters and O'Shea. Will he be patient enough with the next round with an organization that is used to winning? Will he be too patient in a bad situation relying on his past experience with two hall of famers? There's the appeal of novelty that something new will be better. The odds of that are extremely slim. Same as with the QB's. Yeah, **** it, throw some random QB out there and see what happens.

  44. I dont know about the mack era.... the saving grace is that its still very much Miller time (MT). So if we are going to end up in a AO era, it will still be MT. Mediocre maybe...but not Mack bad.

  46. Berger is a former radio reporter who covered the Argos as sideline reporter about 30 years ago, and spent most of his career on the Leafs beat. He now works -- I'm not kidding -- at a funeral service, and often makes seemingly-in the-know predictions on social media. His track record for accuracy is not stellar. He's kind of Marty York Lite -- no longer working in the media but still wanting to seem connected.

  47. I bolded the guys that I would like to see come back. A good year for a big turnover of players (preferably younger guys). Brady, Holm, Demski, Nichols are all guys that they really need not cheap out on. Cutting old guards like Bryant, Jefferson, and Neufeld should give them some good play money to spend come free agency.

  48. Bye Bye ,all I'll say. And id take JY for HC ,I said it during the year. Khari can be OC.

  49. Most of the posters here have been posting for 20 years. It’s safe to say virtually every person here knows exactly how bad things can be. Thing is, for several sweaty fans, being a team that continually chokes in the gc, is not significantly worse than a team that is young and just not good enough yet. This schism exists in all areas of sports, but it’s seldom talked about. Some people love to win, others hate to lose. That’s the major divide we’ve seen among bomber fans since we started gifting gc wins to teams starting mediocre back up qbs. We are basically at the very bottom of the roller coasters dive. we have the entire process left to get back to a respectable quality team. And we can’t even be sure that we will start that process this off season. If we bite the bullet and don’t wait to respond to other teams actions this off season, I think we can be a scrappy young team next year. If we stay a pile of the usual senior citizen suspects, hard to see us being more than crappy.
