The whole point of that route is for the QB to put the ball at the back pylon so the receiver can make a play. It's a fade. Perkins never sets his feet and has no base. He's just chucking from his shoulder, nothing on it.

I think we have seen more pressure from our D in this one game then all of last season. I'm not even being sarcastic... I hope it continues with our starters and into the regular season.

Yeah that's going to be his problem. Too easy to force guys like that to sit in the pocket and make mistakes at this level. Honestly haven't seen many QB's make it as far as he has with mechanics that poor but everyone looking at him as being such a run threat.

Rewatch the play.. he hesistated right as soon as the ball left the hands. Had he kept in stride he easily has position and it's a TD. Not the end of the world but that miss was on the receiver.

he hesitated because the ball didn’t remotely go to the right spot and it was still well short with the hesitation agree on perkins so far probably still be decided next week but the experience of play off football a super bowl the familiarity with prep it all means a lot i wonder if te does short yardage or if perkins would do it as qb2
