  3. If Hogan isn't OC good chance he'll stay unless Walters undervalues him like he did Lawler. And a few others. Hardrick looked cooked when he left. Bryant is 7 years older & was playing better than Yoshie. If Walters signs a new deal he better be under the gun to produce & not sit on his ass as GM anymore. Or sign someone new to run the show.
  4. The Bombers can't say interfere & besides he is probably under contract to just year's end or after the Grey Cup. What can the Bombers say? No??? I must say I have no fear if he leaves as twelve years is long enough. We're no longer a free agent destination anyway as players around the league know Osh plays favourites & fiddles around too much with the game day roster. FIFO is dead. That's Saskatchewan & Montreal now. Not us.
  5. Said the poster with 138 posts since 2023. Thanks for stopping by! Y'all come back now, ya hear???!! Don't be a stranger. Osh has never done any work in personnel or scouting & we make him a GM? Yeah, sure. What could possibly go wrong?
  6. Sunderland or Dejardins, you mean???? PLEASE STAY, WALTERS!!!!
  7. Lofton wasn't the problem on our OL & really neither was Bryant. Who says Neufeld can't play Center as Booch suggested so get rid of Kolo. have Eli & Neufeld compete for the starting Center position with the loser being the 6th OL. I think Bryant should retire. Vanterpool played well at Guard. I'd switch him over to Neufeld's spot. We should go after the best LT we can in free agency. That being said, we need to replenish so signing one impact free agent on the line would do us well. Our receiving corps needs to vastly improve. other than Wilson & Demski we should revamp. Wheatfall is very inconsistent. He disappears for games on end. If he can continually play at a high level he may become a great receiver. he's worth bringing back. Schoen shouldn't be brought back. Let him go. if he has a great year somewhere else then good for him but as far as our team goes, it's just too risky. Oliveira, no question bring back. QB? Zach should be back. I'd bring Wilson back but Streveler not a chance. Everything hinges on Elgersma signing. Fire Hogan. Castillo is a no brainer. Our problem on the DL wasn't the Ends but the T ckles. We need to cut Thomas. We also need to upgrade with size, skill & physicality on our Interior DL. Another 300 lb plus DT who can control A & B gap ion a 3 or 4 man front. Linebackers. I've seen worse but really could always improve. Our secondary is our strength. Houston to me fit right in there. I'd keep him until someone better comes along.
  8. They needed to stop the Riders from scoring on the final two drives of each half & couldn't get the job done. The Lions didn't deserve to win as much as I hate the Riders.
  9. If you have to explain this to anyone it's a waste of time as they'll just double down because they're clueless anyway.
  10. Boy did the Jets need that last night
  11. I bolded the guys that I would like to see come back. A good year for a big turnover of players (preferably younger guys). Brady, Holm, Demski, Nichols are all guys that they really need not cheap out on. Cutting old guards like Bryant, Jefferson, and Neufeld should give them some good play money to spend come free agency.
  12. Well if others were getting offered a 100k raise from other teams then maybe they'd have been allowed to walk as well. Yoshi would have been a Bomber forever of he wasn't getting a league high contract to be a non blindside tackle. All things are not equal.
  13. More weirdness though. I get why they let Yoshi go, but I don't get why others were kept.
  14. Eleven years is a lifetime in the CFL. Other than Cal Murphy I don't know anyone, even Bud Grant, who hung around that long with the Bombers and who had so much success. But it's clear that it's time to move on for Mike. We all knew this day was coming. Now, will we pull a major boner and replace O'Shea with a Reinebold kind of fool like we did with old Cal in 1997, and wallow in sadness and mediocrity for two years, or will we find someone who can carry on the tradition of winning? I do like the FIFO mentally that O'Shea brought to the locker room. That's something I hope we can keep going. FIFO is very important. We lose that and we're back to the dark days of 2013 again very quickly.
  15. To be fair, yoshi has back slid into carrying far too much weight, couldn’t stay healthy and wasn’t fairing well when healthy here. He put in tremendous work to get back down in weight, get healthy and stayed pretty healthy. With lawler we did have to get away from 300k for a wr, but we didn’t do a near good enough job of replacing him. once the cap went up, we should’ve gone up to retain him though.
  16. and yet another 9 pm start on TSN 3 how many more of these are there? two?
  17. Per 3downnation, these are our free agents ... basically everyone but Zach, Vaval, Peterson, Clercius, Randolph, Wallace, Pokey Wilson, MCI, Allen, T. Jones, and Leroux the longsnapper. 18. I hear Bill and his girlfriend might be available soon , maybe she can fill in as OC while Bill is HC and GM
  19. The Bombers are a strange organization. They seemingly let Hardrick and Lawler go when they wanted to stay. They underutilized Brady O and I think he will bolt. They seem to have an arrogance at the most inopportune times. I guess it is easier to let him make the decision to go than the other way round
  20. I think this is directly related to next season. Do you think if he leaves that the Bombers will be worse off next year?
  21. might be time for someone bold to put a fork in this weird season and fire up the 2025-2026 Blue Bomber Offseason Thread.
  22. Yesterday
  23. I don't know that they offer him the GM role. Dinwiddie left because they (MSLE) are pretty happy having Pinball in that role and he has no desire to give it up right now. That could change if they feel it's necessary to lure MOS away but I also don't know if that's something MOS wants? I've never gotten the impression he has any interest in a GM role but who knows.
  24. Was on the Argos neg list earlier in the year but we added him to ours a few days ago.
  25. What I was trying to say in my clumsy way was that if the Bombers wanted O'Shea to stay they would of re signed him already but by letting the Argos talk to him at this early stage they wouldn't mind if the Argos offered him a GM/HC role with money that the Bombers would not be inclined to give him.
  26. That would give me Bill Belichick vibes .. great coaches but abysmal personnel guys.
  27. Bombers have routinely said they'll never stand in anyone's way so this permission means nothing other than the bombers continue to do the right thing as an organization....
