I'd imagine cheaper. The last UFC event in Winnipeg sold like dog **** and they had to paper a lot of the seats. I'd imagine affordable prices.

I wonder if Rhymes/Dunbar will stay in shape in case a team faces injuries and needs a mid season pick up. Imagine if these guys were available last season when our receivers were complete dog crap.

this is kind of a relief I didn't think Christa Miller was going to show up (I mean she's on shrinking now right?) https://deadline.com/2026/02/scrubs-revival-cast-neil-flynn-christa-miller-rachel-bilson-1236730118/

So what i’m wondering that i have no clear answers to being a hardcore Jet fan madly cheering for the Canadian team: If JM is ready to go, does Cooper insert him back into the lineup for the gold medal game or do you keep the same lineup that got you here? Does Canada match up better to the US if he’s in the lineup or if he’s not in the lineup? Same question for Latvia if they make it. Does the Jet organization not want JM to play to to ensure he doesn’t risk further injury? Why is the gold medal game being played before the Bronze medal game? And finally am i over thinking things? ps sorry one final question, why do the Leafs suck so bad?

And Rourke was able to weasel out of the pathetic rookie deal setup too after his failed attempt...Elgersma's camp should be talking to them That being said he also has proven absolutely nothing...at this point is all hype and assumptions and only way to get away from that is realistically get to Canada where he will be given every chance possible...get some film and show that yeah..he's legit

By the time he is in his prime that number is likely 700k per. The SMS is moving up at a pretty good pace right now.

It's a Fight Night card not a PPV so it won't be insane (for an event like that). I also wonder if the relatively short notice will affect ticket prices? Under 2 months until the event is unusual, especially since it hasn't even been officially announced yet. By comparison, when Vancouver had their Fight Night this past October, the card was announced in June so they had a lot more time to sell tickets (even AEW tickets have been on-sale for 2 months now). They may price this one lower to try to move tickets quickly.

It is what it is. He needs to parlay it into big bucks like Nathan Rourke did. Like Zach Collaros did. And any other qb who played well. It's not NFL money but would anyone of us sneer at $5-600,000 a year? Nope. Most, if not all of us here will never make that in a single year.

I dunno. His head has grown for sure. He can be nice but still be an egotistical person and I think he is that. I will admit that when I’ve seen him off air he does seem more laid back like he is playing the role on tv almost like Friedge is a pro wrestling character. It’s still elliotte but he’s turned him 100 x. Like I dunno. He’s definitely developed a bit of a my **** don’t stink attitude on tv. But he’s not as bad as some others in the USA on nhl network. But he will also never be bob mckenzie but I feel he thinks he is. Oh and the women. When they decided to try to play defence the last 4 minutes to protect the lead, you knew the USA would score and once they scored once I knew they would score again. Or be the next team to score again. Momentum just shifted once Canada went into this ridiculous defensive shell where players were trying to waste time along the boards in their own end even. Terrible coaching honestly and nerves probably. Coaching should recognize that doesn’t work tho with that much time left then treating the 6 on 5 like a jets PK does, no aggression no nothing. Terrible. The second the USA pulled the goalie Canada just went into this shell that was just here score on us type strategy. I’m not sure they touched the puck much after they pulled the goalie when 1 shot wins the gold. Where’s the aggression and just going hard to win and not protect a 1 goal lead.

Problem is that it crowds out the bar bands even more. There just isn't many live entertainment venues anymore and there are so many bands, even quality bands with recording contracts, fighting for these rooms that it is very difficult for a young band just starting out to get gigs unless they are willing to play for peanuts. When I started out in the hospitality industry I managed a couple hotels with live entertainment and the ground completely shifted in the early 90's. Full week gig venues became back 3 only, guys like Kenny Shields completely disrupted the scene as well by playing for peanuts at the A bars, reinvented the pay scale. Many venues just hired DJs because they were suddenly drastically cheaper if you rented a song library and just got a guy to play your cds. Then, of course, the liquor laws of the era that virtually killed the night clubs.- 25/26 CFL (Non Bombers) Off Season Thread
He has a far greater chance of making that money in the CFL vs the NFL is what my point is. Yes, obviously he would have to have a long and successful career to attain that.- Blue Bombers -- 2025/26 Offseason -- Discussion Thread

It's funny to be the NFL got so upset at the NFLPA for their member body grading the teams, but the NFL doesn't have any issue trotting out independent people grading players performance on a play by play basis (PFF) and having their broadcast partners blast it all over their coverage. I don't think its reasonable to expect anyone to be able to parlay a career in the CFL to 7 or 8 million dollars... once he is off his ELC he'd be 27... so it would take 10 years @ 700K AAV to get him to 7 million... and that is if one of a million different things that could go wrong to derail a career doesn't go wrong. To project someone who spent 4 years in CIS ball and had one half decent NFL preseason game to end up the highest paid CFL player ever post US-Expansion seems... pie in the sky at best. - Milano Cortina 2026 Olympics thread
