I don't think he was complaining (he still went out & did what was asked of him) and he sure wasn't getting the same opportunity as Brown. His issue wasn't playtime, it was the fact they were using him as a battering ram, rather than as a QB. He's getting that opportunity now but it definitely wasn't the case last season so he did have a reason to question coming back.

I agree...we are almost in totally screwed territory In all honesty...he'd give us more...and has the right attitude...might give the kick in pants some need on this team

I think your 3rd imp wr had to be above one of the two nis. I don’t think sterns is the guy to marry in that role. I’d rather take some one like agudosi. You can use sterns in that role but you can use a lot of guys in that role. He’s got a great motor and ethic. He plays like his last name is hallett. With schoen on the 6, and two guys who aren’t no1s in Demski/wheatfall, we need either air lifts or a trade. Wilson could be available mid to late August, but he might not be back at all this year. Schoen might not be back to being a no1/2 this year either. If we bring in an established guy, we can keep waiting on a guy like sterns. And not have to force wheatfall to try and be no1. If we don’t, we gotta use the two imp spots to shuttle guys and find answers. Atleast one guy a week. But none established guys need more than one week to.

Difference is this year, half the QBs aren’t 38. Kyle does need to wake up and imo needs to take action to justify an extension. It’s much easier to replace a gm in the cfl than a hc, especially with the guys we have. And while a lot deserves to be on mos plate, Walters as his boss is responsible for his failings too. I don’t think Walter’s will replace mos so I think the hot seat will pass to him.

We always fall in love with the wrong pr guys. Bridges, Houston, McKnight and a bunch of others. Even Adam’s broke in as a starter now suffers for reps. @DTonOB would you mind sharing how many reps on D you had for Ayers and Person last game?

Sterns is the perfect 5th guy if we had a stacked group...would kinda fly under radar and reap the benefits of the space and lack of defensive attention...

Save for Logan...Mitchell and J.Jones it was the ultimate scrap heaping fiasco...that includes some of our re-upping of guys And the 3 guys who could help us the most havnt seen the roster...one from injury...one for no reason other than T.Jones being here already and an Osh boner maker...and the other highest paid one for who knows why...they give a weak excuse that doesn't make sense and I don't believe....so ya...stellar offsesson when hosting the Cup

I mean sterns is only hidden from judgement because we got worse. I like the way the guy plays football but I don’t see a future for him as a 3rd wr. except our wr core and ol are drastically worse. Strev came into a bad position last game and did well in game 1. I mean he isn’t getting any pay, and probably would be in the line up now. He could’ve left for another team from the pr too. He shouldn’t have been camped on the pr after his camp and pre season, but money and opportunity is more than sitting as a fa hoping some one calls.

Sadly And then it's a come to camp but don't expect to win a spot pushing out a vet..or a less than adequate Canadian...but for hopefully a PR spot and never seeing the active roster...and if you do..get next to no reps to show anything and eventually get moved off roster quietly and never be seen again...for a slug...and sadly that's not just an over stated griping...it is reality here

Kyle Walters better start general mangering now as he did nothing this past off season except sign a bunch of free agent scrubs for the most part while the real talent left. But hey, he saved a ton of cash on the team's bottom line. For that, we thank you Kyle. Said no Bomber fan, ever. Looks like Maas rushed him back. Big mistake. Every year it's the same.

No, rolling it back would be worse. Bottom line, a player has to show he belongs by playing well. With Osh, if his faves don't play well, they still start & play. Nah, some posters here hated Dolegala on the roster last year.

Strev. has nothing to complain about, he's getting the same opportunity to play that Dru Brown had in 2023, it's up to him to show every GM in the CFL what he can do with the opportunity provided. He may top out his career as the Dustin Crum of the West.

Taulia was released, I believe. Why would the Ti Cats trade us Powell? I'd have been happy if we kept Dolegala but he's tainted because he's a former Riders & posters here like no one who was a former Rider. With Collaros out, we're a mess at qb which means we're a mess as a team judging by that roster. As far as Artoepus goes, I remember a qb named John Schneider....

There was no CFL directive telling teams not to use the new salary cap amount. Why would the CFL announce an increase only to draw it back? Do you know just how bush league that would be?? And if they did, how would this affect the teams who may or may not have applied the increase to their spending? Suddenly you have 9 teams all spending money to different levels. Some to the cap limit, others less & others to the floor. How would you police the teams that went over the old salary cap amount of $5.6 million? Would you claw back the money & take away draft picks? Likely not so the risk (even if there was one) would probably be minimal but then again, there'd be no point having a salary cap if each team spent differently. It's also been 6 months since the increase was announced. Nothing happened to the cap so the story that money may be moved into pensions away from the salary cap was false. As far as your argument goes that not spending on Lawler means we could spend the money elsewhere. Looking at that roster & the holes we now have everywhere, just where did we spend it? Yep, letting Lawler go sure strengthened our roster immensely. That's what happened to the Stampeders. Next Man Up is a great mantra until there isn't anyone to step up anymore as the cupboards are bare. Then, you have to restock.

Post 2019, it was nothing but loyalists. No alarms were being raised yet, no grief was being handed out.
