  1. Past hour
  2. It's really too bad Rogers does not make money /sarcasm
  3. I'm not a fan of the extension as it was premature (imo) and I really hope there's no guaranteed money involved. It looks bad given their track record of sticking with underperforming/aging players so I hope Walters was able to get a team friendly deal and it's one we can walk away from, if need be.
  4. There were so many vital mistakes, mistakes a team should not be making in it's 5th game. D-line coming clean through the A gap against us, Holm covering two receivers with no help, Bridges stopping and letting his guy blow by him, Forced balls from QB's, receivers falling down, selfish penalties, apparent lack of energy......... Even with all that our offence while bad almost had enough to take the lead in the second half.....I really like Strev but that pick was the end of the offence last night...all the wind came outta the sails right then....on offence we had our top OL out, our top receiver out, and lost our top QB early......at least one can make an excuse for them...the defence though....all healthy...and all terrible....I can't name one defensive player from last night worth praising.....not one.....at least on offence you can say Demski and Brady played damn good, on specials Castillo played damn good, our coverage was good, and Vaval and Case looked capable at returns....that's it, maybe the long snapper.....even the whole energy and aura looked bad last night.....it ruined what something like a 17 game win streak after the bye......yuck
  5. As long as Rourke is playing against Edmonton he’s pretty good
  6. It’s showings like this that cost the club A LOT of good will.
  7. Today
  8. 24 TD passes, 21 Ints, the past two seasons for Zach. Walters should not have extended him before this season.
  9. Imo the db made a great break closed quick with our receiver lacking situational awareness but Strev gotta show more patience and eat the ball and live to play another down. 20 20 hindsight I know.
  10. The OL was beaten like a rented mule all night. Both qbs took a **** kicking. Not gonna do a lot of winning when losing the los
  11. Even the INT he threw in the third wasn’t a terrible decision but, if he makes that throw he has to miss outside and not make it easier for the DB driving on the ball. Strev puts it on the pylon or if the WR works back a bit more, that interception doesn’t happen. I’m also not going to discount the fact that Greene made on helluva play and sometimes **** like that happens. Yesterday was an uphill battle for whomever was in at QB. Too much juggling on the offensive line and a receiving corps that lacks a legitimate difference maker. Even Collaros started to just zero in on Demski (who, for as much as I love the guy, isn’t striking fear into anyone). It was clear from the outset that Calgary had ZERO respect for the offense and weren’t threatened at all.
  12. Bomber fans: Bridges is the worst, our secondary is terrible! BC Lions: Hold my beer...
  13. He did come into an awful mess though. The WRs, ol, game plan. He didn’t play well but I’m not gonna judge his ability to come off the bench. We do need to replicate week 1 now though.
  14. Bombers gonna be 3rd after Sask wins tonight. Changes required. At this point cuz we got the season series against BC it’s gonna be us vs Sask in the western semi in Sask. and in a hosting the cup year that’s gotta be a fail.
  15. Yesterday
  16. “ Hey Fotty, know what this kid needs for his first start of the year? A pair of wet crocs”
  17. They also used about a Lawler salary amount to have Mitchell and J. Jones sit on ass.
  18. I hear your pain, but it seems to me that where the team has devolved to is dire enough that there is little to no hope of hosting the Grey Cup. Instead, barring an act of God, the best the Bombers can do is make the playoffs, even if O'Shea and maybe even Walters are canned. There is no point in trying to assess new player talent if they never get a chance to prove themselves in games.
  19. They had talent & let them go after the past few seasons. We never replacd the guys we needed that left. "Everyone's a starter" & "Next Man Up!!" says our Head Coach.. That only works if you have talent & depth. Once you begin starting the scrubs then there is no NMU. It happened to Calgary after 2018 & looks like it'll happen here.
  20. Kolo got $150,000 according to Hodge. https://3downnation.com/2024/01/29/winnipeg-blue-bombers-sign-centre-chris-kolankowski-to-two-year-extension/#:~:text=The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have, part of his new deal. Can't find a salary on Jake but let's say $120,000. That's $270,000 for the two. Jake's role could be filled with an entry level Canadian or American, so let's say that 40k you could save. A C draft pick would do better than Kolo, for fun let's say they drafted Fortin who starts for Calgary. That's what 70k saved. So between the 2 that's a potential 110 k saved.

  22. we got a biter!
  23. I was thinking about Terry Wilson as well. The glimpse we got of him at last years gc makes me curious to see what he can do with a full playbook and practice as a starter but can’t see that anywhere near on the radar of our coaching staff. I think to them that would admit defeat.
  24. He has been burned on every double move all season. Bites so hard.
  25. He was watching a great play unfold then realized right that guy was his cover as his palms went up as he watched mooseman do his dance.
