  1. Past hour
  2. Today
  3. 4 goals on 17 shots. Just brutal
  4. Also thought it interesting that the East didn't get a single player nod tonight. Not even Pate or Gaudaur.
  5. Very deservedly so. Betts wins modp and rourke mop. How often has both those awards gone to canadians and not the same person? Happy for yoshi wining a mol award. It’s interesting that the rider bias in the media along with a gc birth didn’t get them much for awards. Als get no major awards and riders get one major one minor. Pretty odd for the cfl. That said I think they got the awards pretty right
  6. Our problem isn't drafting good Canadians. The problem is we don't keep them. Either we undervalue them going into free agency or just let them walk. That's an organizational thing that falls on Walters shoulders & it makes no sense.
  7. He’s got above average size and athleticism for an ni G. 6’3 n change, 315 but really lean at that weight. Hes got a great frame for playing interior ol. Hes a bit of an athletic outlier by ni ol standards. Faster and more explosive than most interior guys up here. Not the run jumper dobson was or as bursty as desjarlais, but being a half step behind those guys athletically puts you in a good position, especially up here. Hes got good feet, and plays with great strength. He isn’t the bench press gym bro, though he looks it a bit, hes far more the functional strength type. He isn’t as polished as fortin, though I thought both were pretty similar quality prospects. Fortin lacks a lot more in athleticism and raw strength but plays with tremendous leverage and gets every bit out of his frame. Hes also got that nasty streak, toughness, and grit you look for in linemen. Vibert could’ve easily been a 6th ol in the cfl this year. People often struggle to identify if guys like him are high floor low ceiling types, or studs. Imo, he and fortin had the best chance of being early starters and long term impact players on the ol. I think he is very very likely a starter in the CFL at G or C. If he over achieves a bit then he can be an all star type. For me, I don’t go soo crazy for huge interior ol, wallace has tons of use and upside and i think he should be groomed for RT. Guys like vibert get over looked because they aren’t 6’6, 305, running 5.0 flat 40s etc. But I see every thing you need for a G and a C to succeed in the cfl. I thought the depth of ol in this draft had some real potential gems. Hocevar, Pyle, Coakes, and Vibert, these are the type of canadians that anchor interior ol spots for a long time. Vibert should be on the ar this coming year, and he should push for a job if the competition remains soo soft.
  8. Michael Ball is a nutbar. The guy is an embarrassment to his son Ethan, his family, the Riders & the Bombers. .
  9. game tied at 1 after 1
  10. Great to finally get Samberg back. Good to have Nyquist too, I guess…. Although he has pretty much done eff all this season.
  11. Samberg makes his return tonight 9 pm start on TSN3
  12. That's one guy we should be talking to. I wonder who the Als American scouts are? They found those receivers & Davis Alexander. No. I'd have to agree. He's retired. It's hard to believe that in 1988 & 90 when Mike Riley won those 2 Grey Cups that he was the youngest head coach in the CFL.
  13. He should have been rostered in lieu of Ball or some other irrelevant bottom Canadian and repped in at times...if for nothing to get a guage on him Like his tenacity and size and his technique is real good being a raw rookie
  14. Mike Riley is in his 70s. I’ll go out on a limb and predict he won’t be our coach next year.
  15. In pro football, the NFL the coaching eras of Tom Landry, George Halas, Vince Lombardi & Bill Belichek all came to an end. In the CFL. Bud Grant, Frank Clair, Wally Buono & Don Matthews all ended. In hockey, Punch Imlach, Emil Francis, Scotty Bowman & Al Arbour all came to an end. In baseball so did Managers Sparky Anderson, Tommy Lasorda & Billy Martin. They all ended. Some on their own terms, others not so fortunate. Eventually the message dulls over time & players tune out. In Winnipeg, Mike O'Shea's time is ending & he should sense it before he's shown the door. Now's the time to bow out on his terms.
  16. Bud Grant left for NFL tho...im sure if he stayed he would have eventually flamed out at somepoint tho...as its inevitable

  18. Vaval goes back to back & takes home ST player of the year and rookie of the year.
  19. I just don’t get how we were players in free agency then all of sudden we weren’t. Who was to blame? Osh? Walters? Especially this year in a greycup year.
  20. How close to being a starter is Vibert? He's a natural C, no?
  21. For $400 Alex? so no different than.... 1. Bud Grant 2. Cal Murphy 3. Dave Ritchie Seems to be the fate of all coaches eventually. Their loyalty to old vets costs them their jobs, in the end. The problem in Winnipeg is that after we have these dynasties, we suck...for soooooo freaking long....
  22. You have the choice of competent, maybe 3 good games last year, vs a guy who in a short period of time carried his team to a gc, was league mop etc. If you aren’t concerned with character, and I don’t think edmonton is at all, it’s a no contest between fajardo and the pest. I do like those 3 a lot too. If we aggressively pursue the best ol men we can get this off season, Imp or ni T G or C, and play only the best players the line can take a big step forward.
  23. Average fan that just looks at record..2 cup wins pretty much half decade ago...read the media slobbering but don't connect dots to the 4 straight failing yrs...and common theme as to why and what real issues are for sure will think hes da bomb...hence that sentiment...every good coach and situstion runs its course...that's why u don't see lifetime coaches in one spot...we ran a good 4 yr course bookended by 1 poor course that almost ended early....to one now that was cratering due to no reason other than self sabotage by a stubborn guy who can't seem to evolve further...it definitely time and he will be looked at in bomber history as one of the greats..but also flawed leading to his end
  24. I'd like to know who works under Maccioccia as Asst GM. That organization is outstanding. They've found some great talent the past 3 seasons. Whoever that is, would be worth an interview.
  25. Literally just signed a contract extension like two weeks ago. Not going anywhere for a long time.
  26. Apparently hes considering retirement
  27. We have 3 good young OL now in Wallace, Vanterpool & Randolph signed. I like those 3 pieces a lot. Now with free agency maybe we can pick up a starting Center or LT. We have Neufeld & Stan as well who probably won't go far away. They can change positions & still we'd be okay.
